Food was delicious with loaded vegan protein in multiple options which is nice. But the service is mediocre. Took an hour to get our food from when we sat down, we continually ran out of water, and couldn’t get the attention of the server very easily who seemed to be stressed out and forgot us several times. Definitely make reservations ahead of time as they borderline require it

Memorable Dining Experience ❤️🍽️ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tantra Restaurant on Princess Street in Edinburgh, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the ambiance and attentive staff. The cocktails we ordered were expertly crafted and truly delicious. The mixologists at Tantra know their craft, and it showed in every sip. They offered a perfect blend of flavors that set the tone for a great evening. The starters were a delightful introduction to the meal. Each dish was beautifully presented, and the taste exceeded our expectations. The flavors were a harmonious mix of spices and ingredients, leaving us eagerly anticipating the main course. Speaking of the main course, we ordered the Biryani, and it was outstanding. The fragrant aroma, the perfectly cooked rice, and the tender, well-spiced meat made it a true highlight of the meal. It was evident that the chefs at Tantra pay meticulous attention to detail and use high-quality ingredients. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our dining experience exceptional. From offering menu recommendations to ensuring our glasses were never empty, their dedication was evident throughout the evening. Tantra Restaurant on Princess Street is a hidden gem in Edinburgh, offering an exquisite culinary journey that I highly recommend. The combination of delectable food, well-crafted cocktails, and outstanding service made for an unforgettable dining experience. I will certainly be returning to Tantra for more culinary adventures in the future. Went on a sunday night and had place to ourselves, the lovely waitress Tayeeba spoilt us with excellant service added by sanyam , both very attentive...Good luck to both in their future careers after qualifying! good people go far! food was a taste sensation and presented perfectly can highly recommend the quality and experience of this indian fusion. my fav being the Tandai mousse and chilli ice cream. will deffo be back. 😊

First time to visit Tantra as I lived in the neighbourhood. I chose this venue for my birthday and it was an excellent choice! Thank you for the waitress who serviced us, she was brilliant at checking on us the whole time. The food delivery wasn’t too long to wait and the food itself was nicely presented and delicious! Portion size was good and the fresh naan was amazing. Overall to end the meal, the waitress surprised me with a birthday dessert (on the house) which made the visit extra special. Thank you to the Tantra Team! Highly recommended for a great dining experience.

On a short trip in Edinburgh and came across this restaurant and believe me it was one for best food we had in the last couple of days. Excellent food, and our host Lincy went above and beyond to make sure we enjoy the food and took care of everything very well. Don't miss the steak bites (Beef ularthiyathu). Ambience was good, cocktails were excellent! I strongly recommend this place.

First meal in Edinburgh. The food was quite good but the service was fantastic. Very prompt and friendly. The onion salad had less onions and they prompt got another plate for e.g. once asked. We got the saag lamb (really good, took.leftovers home and next day was better), butter chicken, garlic naan, aloo Gobi was not very authentic but still tasty. Overally good ambience and for the price good food

I had the best experience at Tantra, and could not recommend it enough. The food was so incredible. It was fresh tasting, delicious, and the portions were just the right size. The environment was beautiful, calm, clean and fun. It is definitely worth going there even for drinks to look at the exquisite and colorful inside. Our server, Shiva, was so fantastic. Shiva was incredibly attentive, kind and helpful. When we asked him about different foods and flavors, he shared so much about the different meals and origins of the food, which added to the experience. We really enjoyed our time spent at Tantra, and everything was truly wonderful. 10/10 would go again!!!
