The Half Moon is my new local and I love it. I have eaten here on lots of occasions and I have not had a bad meal. My family and I have eaten the burgers, thai green curry, belly pork, meat pie, cajun chicken, chicken pasta arrabbiata and the Sunday lunch, all of which have been great. I was most impressed with the children's chicken nuggets, they are 100% homemade and taste amazing. The staff are very warm and welcoming, nothing is too much bother for them. I highly recommend this pub and the amazing food served here.
Good food and lovely staff, can highly recommend.
Popped in mid week after a walk at approx 1pm. The menu has some great options, but today, I went for the half-moon brunch. Washed down with a couple of pints of Landlord beer. Fantastic
The wife and I went there on , April. We had excellent meals and the lady's that served us were very attentive, pleasant, and done their work as if they actually wanted to be there. I actually spoke to the manager and told him that is staff were a credit to him. He himself was a very approachable. 100%good.
Good choice menu, fast service. The food was plentiful. Cooked to perfection. Staff very attentive and menu knowledgeable
Highly recommended.
Has recently been refurbished. Well worth a visit. Good value food. Good service from staff and good atmosphere.
Having lived here for several years, I've never been in the Half Moon and I'm quite amazed!
The staff here are so polite, friendly and they seem to just work well together.
The food is really lovely and even the kids plates were completely empty!
Dessert was equally nice and enjoyed by all five in our family group.
I'm quite annoyed at myself after visiting tonight for not having been here sooner!
Thank you to all staff for the lovely atmosphere, service and quality of food 😊 we had a lovely family meal and will help back again soon.
We haven't booked in advance but they found us a table. Food is homemade and at reasonable prices. Great astomphere with attentive staff. Great to see a pub with both a separate bar area (dogs allowed too) and separate food areas.
Nice lunch (roast dinner in a large Yorkshire pud) with friends. Seems to be working reduced hours and saving on heating which is perhaps understandable at the moment. Beer pricey by local standards
Very enjoyable meal, with courteous and attentive staff.
Often go for Sunday lunch. Service can be a bit slow when busy, but in general it's pretty good, and staff are always polite.
Cannot really comment on much of the menu, it's we just stick to the Sunday Roast (usually one beef, one turkey), and that is always good. Rest of the menu looks fine, as does the food when it passes, and never heard anyone complaining
Would advise booking ahead, as can get busy (as mentioned above)
Only popped in for a quick pint in the dog friendly tap room side .
Good choice of beers and ales very smart inside menu choices looked good
