Love this place. Great food and great staff...... Great gin too! I would highly recommend the Sunday roast lamb or fish and chips with mushy peas if you are planning on eating. One of my favourite places to go with my husband. Always a relaxing place and if you sit by the window (or outside when warmer) you get a lovely view of the lake opposite through the trees. X

Very welcoming as we walked in. Tasty fish platter for two, with excellent Mediterranean veg and a superb tomato emphasis; all while enjoying fresh bread rolls with butter, and 2 glasses of red wine of our choosing. Our waitress just couldn`t have been more attentive. I am looking forward to another visit.

Warm place, the food is great and the staff is cordial and the ambience is cozy. The Sunday roast is something to look forward to too. Loved the beef roast here and the starters too very yummy. Great family place to visit with your pets as well. Looking forward to visiting it soon.

Always loved the setting, opposite Aldenham country park. It's quiet and convenient. We had samosas and hummus- pita bread, which were delicious. The main course was fish sharing platter with bread and Mediterranean veg. The ingredients were fresh and light but for £50 for 2 to share was bit high on the pocket for what was on offer. My son's beef burger was dry but the chips were good. It has veg options in main courses, too. The seafood linguine was nice with basil and pesto. Overall, go for drinks and starters and keep it simple in mains.

Nice decor, great location across the road from a natural reservoir lake. Friendly service but a bit slow. Delicious food. Beautiful presented starters. Spicy calamari not spicy at all but very tasty. Beautifully cooked scallops. Delicious fish pie. Prices ok considering the size of the mains (huge). Unless you're starving I would suggest you skip the starters. Or order both and take half of your main home. I'm giving 4 stars because I saw newcomers being served before us and because one of the servers took away our large water bottle (only poured one glass) with the meal leftovers and left us thirsty.

Always such a warm welcome and friendly service. Great lunch menu, great choice of drinks, great outside seating area looking over the reservoir, live music nights and the best Sunday roast ever! Extremely generous portions and a nice relaxed, informal atmosphere, all in all a haven!
