Irving Oil (big Stop Restaurant, Enfield)

Stopped in for a meal on the way from the city to home. I ordered the Bacon Double Cheeseburger and poutine and was not disappointed! The waitress, Kelsie was so fast and pleasant, our drinks never went empty and we felt that we were well taken care of. This restaurant has a diner vibe and a staff that makes the experience personal. Stop in if you are nearby! You will never leave the big stop with anything but a full belly and a great experience!

I have been coming here quite frequently lately, and the cooks can never seem to fully cook something on the plate. my last time there i got a poutine and the cheese was still frozen in it so i asked for a replacement of a traditional breakfast. that came out and everything on the plate was cold except for the egg. the bread had way too much butter on it and didnt even melt when they put it on so it just goes to show how cold it was when they put it on. pretty sad that you complain about having cold food and just get more of it. the waiters definitely do a good job and try their best, but i cant say the same about the cooks. definitely not planning on returning here after numerous times of leaving unhappy

Update: Visited today and had club sandwich, fries, poutine. Within an hour one of us was violently ill and the other doing poorly. Had to turn around on road trip due to this. Stopped to tell the manager and were told food poisoning takes 24 hours to set in which is untrue - it's UP TO 24 hours and can be immediate depending on the type of bacteria. No compensation or anything offered. Anyways we will now strike this place off our map.

So sorry for the delay in posting this review. Our daughter came home for Christmas for the first time in 10 years! Wanting to spend as much time together as possible before her and her husband flew back to Ontario, we decided to go to The Big Stop for a late lunch/early supper before dropping them off at the airport. . I called the manager, Jenny, to inform her that we would be coming. Since we were 8 people we wanted to give them a heads up. When we entered we were shown to a table that was distanced from the next and felt very safe. We had a lovely time together. Our server, was extremely efficient and the food was excellent. Four of us ordered breakfast and four the fish and chips. We had a wonderful last supper together and wish to thank all the staff at the Big Stop for making this happen and helping us make some special memories. We will definitely be back.
