Incredible quaint little country pub! The service 10/10, and the food was exceptional! The vegan burger was well worth the drive. The best vegan burger ever( I’m not normally a fan of burgers) Highly rate the mole trap, amazing! Look forward to coming back.

Highly recommended! As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed by staff and given a menu. I obviously had to go for the Sunday roast! I was based outside in their garden and the food was delicious. It's the perfect hidden gem for a sunny day out.

A nice pub. Popped in for a beer after we did the Falconry experience which is held there

Lovely little country pub, tucked out of the way, was recommended to me and didn't disappoint, visited today for lunch with family and had a beautiful fish and chip dinner with toasted waffle dessert, not the cheapest but value for money and would highly recommend, will definitely be going back.

Lovely atmosphere, food and such a cosy little pub. Sam was really helpful and made a fuss of our dog. After reading some of the horrible reviews left on here i felt it necessary to give 5* and support the new owners in their venture. But I honestly can't fault this quaint, cosy, Essex pub. Keep up the good work, we all can't wait to visit again soon.

We really like this pub. We go here quite often for drinks and sometimes food as well, and it's always a success. I've seen some other reviews saying that there aren't enough vegan and vegetarian options, but this hasn't been the case in my experience when we've eaten there. I think they change their menu often, though.

Really nice referb. Staff really accommodating. Wine selection quite good. Food menu acceptable but needs expanding for greater variety. On our recent visit, unavailable specials need to be removed from the specials board. Overall, really enjoyed the location and will definitely come back to try the steak pie.
