The new landlord and his family have completely transformed this pub and is unrecognisable from its former self. Excellent cellar, friendly knowledgeable staff. It’s a bit like time travel, when a pub was a real pub, no gimmicks, just good beers and excellent service. The interior has been renovated to a high standard, even down to the loo’s !! All this and live music too.

Open at last. Lovely pub full of atmosphere, roaring log fire was burning the night we visited.

Family run and incredibly friendly staff. Food is homemade and freshly prepared every day, drinks are reasonably priced.
Sunday carvery is top notch, good selection of ales and beers on tap. Just a good, traditional family pub with a great atmosphere. Highly recommended. 5 stars
