Visited here on Bank Holiday Monday. Friendly welcome from staff, lovely food.
Decor is lovely, proper country pub feel. Can imagine being sat in front of the fire on a winters day with a nice beer.

First visit and will definitely be returning. A lovely find.

Came in for Sunday lunch.
Food was fist rate all clearly home cooked.
Service from the bar and waiting staff was very friendly and helpful.
The pub has been refurbished to a very high standard and is very pleasant to sit it in.

The perfect local .. welcoming handshake by J the landlord .. 4 Local Real Ales on .. friendly locals .. Dogs welcome.. roaring fire .. plenty of parking

Lovely local that has risen like a Phoenix from the demise of the previous pub. Lots of thought and love have obviously gone into its revival. I'll watch with interest how all the investment comes to full fruition. Well done. We'll be back. Currently only food available on Sundays

Great English village pub with exquisite attention to detail. Marvellous service. Friendly staff and locals. Happened upon the Royal Oak by chance on a bike ride during a weekend away. So good, we had to return on Sunday for a cheeky pint. New management- you should be proud of your achievements. Shame we couldn’t stay longer

Visited the Pub this evening with my children and partner for a drink, the service was incredible and my girls were super happy with their Halloween treats they got given. Thanks so much🥰

Open at last. Lovely pub full of atmosphere, roaring log fire was burning the night we visited.

The new landlord and his family have completely transformed this pub and is unrecognisable from its former self. Excellent cellar, friendly knowledgeable staff. It’s a bit like time travel, when a pub was a real pub, no gimmicks, just good beers and excellent service. The interior has been renovated to a high standard, even down to the loo’s !! All this and live music too.
Well done Jay, Hazel, Charlie & Alf for all your hard work.
