I didn't eat but went to see some live music there. I had forgotten what a lovely, friendly welcoming pub it is and plan to revisit lots more.

Proper and decent village pub. Locals are lucky to have such a nice place nearby, bit of a trek for me! Good to see lots of local real ale and a decent fire- perfect

14 of us went there for a family Christmas meal. The choices were excellent. The portions were generous Very friendly owners and staff. A couple of nice dogs too.

Found this gem of a pub on our recent travels, situated in a little village the hosts are warm and welcoming. On the Friday night we had the landlords curry, and excellent sized portion with chips and we returned for the next two nights, finishing off with a home cooked Sunday lunch before we left. The turkey and beef were exception served with roasts, mash, carrots cauliflower cheese and a Yorkie, nothing processed her. We didn’t have room for a pudding! Will most definitely return if we are down this way.
Incidentally if you have a motor home there is a safe and secure car park to park up for the night. Ideal for the pub and a good home cooked meal

Went here for a quick meal on the 1st night of our holiday. Nice, honest locals pub. Us and our 2 pups were immediately made to feel welcome. Good home cooked meal of cottage pie hit the spot. Nothing fancy, just good hot food at a really reasonable price.

After spending a week in the village I would say this is one of the most friendly pubs I've been in. Owners, staff, locals and dogs all made us feel very welcome, so we made several visits. Good selection of ales and also a tasty menu of home cooked food. Lasagne and also the curry (on special) were excellent.

This is a friendly pub in the charming village of Colkirk, just south of Fakenham. Dogs are welcome. Tourists are welcomed by locals and publicans alike. The food menu is basic but freshly prepared and inexpensive.

A traditional village pub that we found to be equally welcoming to visitors as they are to the local community. A very good range of drinks is available alongside a traditional pub menu both of which are very well priced. We had a three course dinner for two accompanied by two pints each and the bill came to £54 which was very reasonable considering the quality and generous portion sizes we received. Recommended.

Oh what a fabulous local hostelry for us to have in this lovely village! Brian and Christine are superb hosts and are trying so hard to make this really old historic public house a great venue for the village with entertainment nights, good, tasty food and, hopefully more to come. They’ve only been here since the end of March and have, without doubt, made us very welcome. We’ve spent a few good hours enjoying the Christmas festivities here on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day. A great welcome is always assured.
