The Nightjar

The food here was nice and the speed in which we were served when ordering from the app was fast. The tables were clean and despite there being lots of people here there were no complaints on the friendliness of the staff. As mentioned we used the app to order and drinks were promptly brought to us. The food wasn't far behind and the temperature was just right. I opted for the steak which was tasty, my only small complaint was there wasn't enough butter for the jacket potato and the one that we did have was melted that it leaked when opening but this is a very minor issue. I would recommend this place for a bite to eat and a quick drink.

We eat here whenever we are in the south.. unfortunately on this occasion the food was cold.. not luke warm but cold.. so yes, that was unfortunate. Wasn't a great experience 😕.. usually, food is excellent. Hot and tasty.. the staff work so hard and always with a smile regardless of how some customers speak to them.. this hasn't put us off, and we will continue eating here.. because, as I said. Food is usually excellent 👌

This is a very busy pub and it was lovely and friendly. Love having the chicken tikka masala with rice, naan and 2 poppadoms. My friend ordered the wrong meal for me but the staff there were very obliging and changed it to what I actually wanted. I felt a little embarrassed but they were lovely about it. I'd definitely go back there the next time I'm on holiday down here
