The Chef reccomendPopped in here for a midweek lunch with my daughter and Grandaughter. Very decorative. Lovely choice of food and gorgeous homemade cakes. Definitely worth a visit and very reasonable prices. We will be back.
Made a visit to the sugarcube again while in Filey. The warm welcome and lovely food are what I have come to expect. And dog friendly!
An excellent tearoom. Homemade cakes and scones. Really tasty. Excellent cup of tea. Owner very sociable, enjoyed our chat with him. Well worth a visit when you next visit Filey
We have been calling in on a regular basis for a while now usually after a lovely walk along the seafront. Always a warm welcome from the owner for dogs and their owners. The cheese scones are soooo tasty and there is always a good selection of homemade cakes. Overall good value.
Great little cafe on Church Street.Welcomed by friendly owner.My wife and I had a Latte,scone and cake which was delicious!!! Really good prices,a lovely place to visit
We stumbled upon this little tea room and what a gem of a find! From the welcoming warmth of the host to the afternoon tea and yummy home made cakes - we didn't want to leave! We returned the following day instead of going straight home and ended our relaxing holiday perfectly. This lovely cafe has such a heartfelt community atmosphere that is lacking from many eateries today. Highly recommended for families and very dog friendly too.
Two dogs and three well behaved humans were welcomed into this small cafe in Filey. We had lovely sandwiches, toasted tea cake and home made scones which were delicious. Lovely coffee and great pot of tea just rounded the meal off nicely. Our host was very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone and will no doubt return.
We go back time and time again, my youngest daughter (13) loves this place and the homemade cakes. Staff are very kind and friendly, and are happy to help with anything and everything.
What a great little cafe! We visited on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate finishing the Cleveland Way, nine days, walking 110 miles. Straight off the trail, we looked up on our phone where to get an afternoon tea, and it didn’t disappoint. Sandwiches fresh and tasty, scones perfect, and four varied pieces of cake, all clearly freshly baked that day. We reckoned that it was incredibly reasonably priced.
Wonderful Afternoon Tea. Sandwiches, scones and cakes, plenty of choice complete with large pot of tea with more water if needed. Have been here a few times for coffee and cake. Owner very friendly, makes you feel welcome. A place not to be missed when in Filey
It was a delight visiting The Sugarcube. Just a stones throw away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping area, a little oasis of calm. We had lovely hot lattes and a mocha that was accompanied by a little bowl of chocolate drops.....nice touch. Delicious paninis with salad and coleslaw were served up in no time and I would recommend the tasty and moist lemon and raspberry cake. It was hard to choose from the array of mouth watering home made cakes. The proprietor was a very warm and friendly man who really looks after his customers. We will be back!
Visited this little cafe today super little place first went for coffee found it so good went back for lunch food very good freshly prepared and served so reasonably priced and a top notch host very prettily decorated just what you would expect a tearoom to be please go and give it a try
Just off the beaten track is this lovely tea room, lovely pot of tea with tea cosy and lovely home made cakes, Has they say dogs welcome and owners as well. Enjoy
Stumbled upon the Sugar cube after walking from the beach, stopped for tea and a bite to eat , good food , clean and a very nice chatty man would recommend a visit , oh and the tea pot had a tea cosy don’t see them much these days 👍
Just had afternoon tea with my family at this lovely little gem of a cafe. Everything was delicious; beautiful, dainty sandwiches, mouthwatering scones and moist, light homemade cakes. Lovely flavours and by far the best cup of tea in Filey! Really welcoming and friendly.
Just visited The Sugarcube again and this time for afternoon tea. What an amazing place so welcoming, great value and delicious food. Can't recommend more highly. A must visit if you're in the Filey area, you won't be disappointed.

Our second visit here. What can I say? Amazing afternoon tea which tasted great and was value for money. Home made scones and cakes were fabulous. Dog friendly and welcoming staff. Can’t rate this place highly enough. You won’t be disappointed!
love this lovely little tea shop in filey..cone out of the train station go across the road and it's ahead ..beautiful home made cakes and very reasonable ..and the owner is lovely and freindly..pretty little shop too💕
