Sandy's Fish & Chips

Without a doubt, the best chippy I have been to. Staff always friendly, helpful and polite. Food is AMAZING! I’ve had most of the menu (except vegan) and it’s all great :) whatever they do with the chips is magic. And the battered sausage is probably my fave 🥰 also recently gone to the hot donut place they have opened a couple of doors up, omg .. better than the ones at a fair! The lady who served me, my partner & daughter in there was super friendly , and even gave us a sneaky extra donut ,it may have been that they were smaller , although they seemed pretty big to me , or there was extra batter or something 😂 (I don’t want her to get in trouble haha) but it was much appreciated, as it meant we could have 2 donuts each 🥰 my daugher had a slushy too, and she enjoyed that :) Will always mooch into sandys on a day out down the harbour. 10/10

Lovely friendly service. Prompt and really fresh which was great. Have to say the fish was good and the gravy was good. It's not my absolute favourite fish & chips I've ever eaten from, but it's great and I'd be more than happy to go back and have more, no questions asked and that's the main thing! Worth a visit, worth a revisit. Vegan range as well for those that would like it.

Chips delicious. Standard haddock and two large portions of chips ample for four adults. Great environmental credentials - you can take tubs back to dispose of, and if worst happens and they do end up in the sea, they are fully biodegradable. Our only complaint was the haddock a little dry but a great dinner all in all!

I have known Andy for many years and I finally had the pleasure to spend another day with him at Sandy's yesterday. As expected I have seen the highest standards of food quality, service, cleanliness. No wonder they are so busy and they are voted the best in Kent. I would even dare to say the best in the South if not the whole of the UK. What an experience... and of course... the food. That fresh local huss was amazing! Thanks Andy and best of luck going forward!

Oh my actual goodness! Get ready to say ‘hello’ to the perfect chip shop experience. Being, as it was, a particularly cold evening, my friends and I ordered Sandy’s for delivery. What a welcome surprise greeted us upon its arrival! My friends are no stranger to Sandy’s, but I was a first timer. The packaging (happily for me) was all recyclable and the contents were absolutely top notch. There’s no beating the quality here because perfection cannot be improved upon. I had a large chips, vegan goujons & battered halloumi. The portions of which were all particularly generous. We also received free mushy peas as there was an offer whereby a humorous joke would grant you a side offering of your choice. I won’t share the joke for reasons that are two-fold. 1) so as not to upset any right-leaning readers that might be reading 2) I can’t remember the wording exactly, and don’t want to do my friend’s joke an injustice Politics aside, please do frequent this amazing venue for all your chip shop needs, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful food from Sandy's as always! Our favourite fish and chip shop, we will never go anywhere else. Andy and his team are all very kind and welcoming, will always make a fuss of the children and make sure they are happy too! They have a great selection of food and drinks for the whole family, and everything is always cooked fresh. The whole shop is very clean (unlike some I have seen down the harbour) which makes such a huge difference. If you're going to have fish and chips from anywhere in Folkestone, go to Sandy's! :)
