I can't recommend this cafe highly enough! It was busy, but we were warmly greeted immediately on arrival and shown to a table. The person who served us was really lovely and service was excellent. Our veggie breakfasts were absolutely delicious and the cappuccinos were great too. The prices were very reasonable and the food was very high quality. I would definitely return.

Great place. Mixture of retro and quaint interior. Love the vinyl collection being played at a sensitive volume on a turntable. Good coffee, quality ingredients in both drinks and food ( the bacon on my pancakes with bacon and maple syrup was great). Young, friendly, hard working staff (it’s deservedly busy) - good service. A notch above anywhere else in my 2 week trip to the UK

We had the most wonderful Lamb pie with a great selection of veg, we were deliciously full but managed to squeeze in a bread and butter pudding with a jug full of custard...Will definitely be back when we are in the area...thanks for a wonderful meal.

What a lovely cafe we were so lucky to get a seat. As soon as we sat down the place just filled up. So get there early! The breakfast was fabulous and what lovely staff too. The music was so nice coming from the record player, a lot to look at with all their records and memorabilia. Definitely worth a visit.

What a fantastic place for lunch. A little gem I would recommend to anyone. We had the special, pork and leek pie, served with mashed potato and a large portion of freshly cooked veg. We couldn’t fault a thing

Vegan breakfast is very good - huge field mushroom, home made sausage very tasty, deep fried patty of bubble and squeak is big. Extra toast on the side - came away absolutely stuffed. Loved it. Delivery of pots of tea towards the end of the meal (after a reminder) was not great, but overall it's still one of the best places for breakfast in Suffolk

A Harmonious Haven at The Common Room From the moment I stepped into The Common Room, I was enveloped by an atmosphere rich with warmth and conviviality. This coffee shop is a gem, offering not only excellent service but also a unique experience that sets it apart from the rest. The staff at The Common Room are genuinely friendly and attentive. Their eagerness to ensure each patron feels welcomed and cared for contributes to the overall ambiance of the establishment. Even during the busiest times, they manage to maintain their composure and deliver an outstanding level of service. During my visit, I decided to try their eggy bread. To my delight, it was not only delicious but also perfectly prepared, with a delicate balance of flavors that left me craving more. The combination of tender bread with a crispy exterior and a light, fluffy interior was simply irresistible. What truly sets The Common Room apart, however, is its remarkable atmosphere. The record player situated in the corner of the room, surrounded by a vast and eclectic collection of records, invites patrons to peruse and choose their favorite tunes. The sound of vinyl crackling as classic and contemporary tracks fill the air adds a nostalgic charm to the experience. This touch of personalization and interaction allows customers to feel truly connected to the space. In conclusion, The Common Room is a delightful escape from the daily grind, offering exceptional service, delectable fare, and a captivating atmosphere that keeps patrons coming back for more. If you're in search of a cozy retreat to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, a scrumptious meal, and the soothing sound of your favorite records, look no further than this enchanting haven.

Great find serving good choice of food in a quirky setting. Loved the fact that the music was from their own record collection. May vinyl records live on forever :). Staff were friendly and the toilets clean. Was early lunch when we arrived with plenty of room but soon filled up so bear that in mind. I had the kedgiree which was nice but did lack a bit of seasoning, though was well presented.

Amazing food and service. I asked to change something on the menu for my son and they were more than happy to help.
