The Fox

Absolutely amazing food! We have been camping on the site so knew we had to try the local Grub & was very pleasantly surprised, i had the fish, my wife a burger & my son had a pizza & we all loved it, each item was cooked perfectly & tasted great! It’s a shame we don’t have another night because we would be having it again! Hopefully we will be back in October so looking forward to eating here again. Good work guys, keep it up as you have a real gem here!

The restaurant isn't open at the moment due to covid restrictions but we had a takeaway last night. The food was absolutely excellent, I had the Thai vegetarian curry and my wife had scampi and fries. There was plenty of food, good sized portions and really tasty, price was very reasonable and the service was spot on and very friendly. Couldn't fault it and we will definitely be visiting again.

Amazing! Driving back to London, searched for restaurants on google maps, The Fox came up with 4.6 stars. Took a punt as it's not too far off route and was well worth the detour. Service was warm and friendly, food was amazing me and the wife both had the pie, served hot and in good time. Good portions, we loved the way the chips and veg came separately so you could decide how much or little you wanted. The boy had fish fingers and chips again good portions, I finished his chips. As I said, well worth the visit.

Looks like a traditional pub on the outside. There is plenty of parking around the building. Go inside and it's set up like a rustic restaurant; for instance there is no traditional bar. However we like the atmosphere of the place. The staff were polite and helpful. Drinks and food was served relatively quickly. The food we had tasted very good, obviously using good quality ingredients. The prices were a little on the side but not extortionate. However, we were pleased enough with our experience that you returned for a second evening. Happy to recommend.

Clearly a small business trying to get their feet off the ground. We ate there 2 nights on the trot. The first night they were under staffed and we had to wait a while to order and for our food to come. When the food came it was worth the wait. We decided to go back a second time and were pleased that we did. The service was much better. The food was excellent. Produce was local and everything tasted freshly made. Even the children's meals had fresh vegetables. (A rare thing these days) The selection of ales was good. The wine list could probably have been a little longer, but we still found a bottle we liked. Would we go back? Yes! (But not on Monday as they are closed)

We had been to the Festival of light at longleat so took a gamble & after fitting us in at the last minute, we enjoyed a pleasant main course. We just did not have enough room for desert. I had the burger and mrs baileys dad had a steak. The burger was well cooked & there were plenty of chips served in a mini basket. All the food was well presented, hot and tasty. The staff are friendly & the prices are reasonable. The presentation was excellent & we did not have to wait too long. We will return for another lovely meal at the Fox.
