Another lovely lunch in this wee gem. Good food, great atmosphere and a warm welcome from Sandra and George.
Very fond memories of visiting green kettle, the loveliest and most attentive hosts with whom we shared many a whisky and story into the wee hours. The food was hearty and wholesome. We loved it so much we extended our stay! Highly recommend this place, we can't wait to go back!
As a group we are looking for the best possible experience in terms of service, friendliness and a feeling of being hom away. George and Sandra provided this and more. Excellent food, absolutely superb hospitality and an evening we'll never forget. Top notch. Get off the beaten track and go here. It's well worth it.
Like visiting your grans house, quaint with lots of character. If you want modern and uncluttered then not for you. An eclectic mix of furniture, decor, paintings and amusing signs. Great food and service. George and Sandra are great characters who make you feel welcome and valued.

If you are in the area, be sure to stop at this incredible place!
The green kettle is a treasure and I’m so luck to live nearby it!
Great place to stop for food, homemade soup was delicious. Great staff, super friendly, well worth stopping. Homemade cakes looked great too. Dog friendly if they are not too busy. Absolutely worth stopping here. Will be back to try the other homemade food!
Green Kettle is a wee gem is like walking into an antique shop love it, staff are so lovely and friendly make you feel so welcome.
Soups are so tasty and filling home made I couldn't finish the soup and sandwich.
Previously I've had the steak pie which was so rich and so filling. Well worth a visit and they also do Bed and Breakfast hope to stay sometime.
My Wife and I popped in here for Breakfast on the last day of our Holiday whilst staying in the area, and we weren't disappointed! The Scottish Breakfast was delicious, and the owners are two of the friendliest people you are ever likely to meet. Nothing was too much trouble, and there were some really lovely touches with toast and marmalade! Would love to come back again, if we're ever in the area!
Went for lunch. Nice and cosy. Very welcoming staff. Good food at a reasonable price and freshly made. Hot chocolate was decadent, especially with the cold weather. Would definitely come again
Popped in here for lunch after reading some great reviews. It didn't disappoint. Lovely quaint ambience stoked by real wood stove. Lovely and cosy on a cold afternoon, very hospitable hosts and to top it off great home made food. Will definitely be a more regular customer.
What a wonderful, quirky wee place with beautiful, hand-cut chips - never happier than when I have real hand-cut chips!
Simple food very well done, including homemade cakes and scones with gluten free options too.
Browse the books, postcards and knickknacks that abound in a very homely environment whilst you wait for your food, then onwards for a lovely walk in the stunning local countryside or nature reserve, complete with a rainbow when we were there. Happy days!
