Food here was great! We've seen the menu a couple of times while calling in for a pint and it looked tasty, can confirm it is as good as it looked! Proper home made chips and excellent sandwiches at a great price. We'll be back 😁

The miners bar is very well organised and welcoming the open mic night is excellent and the staff are Sunday lunch is really nice and good value for money as are the drinks.

Called in here for food as a treat from our grandson, all three of us had food, it was absolutely great, and value for money. Very pleasant new owner's. Would recommend to everyone, we will definitely be going back in again. Thank you 😊

I invited my elderly parents for Sunday dinner yesterday the 20th of November and it was absolutely delicious, it was served quickly and professionally my cheerful happy staff. Our plates went back to the kitchen clean, compliments to the chef and friendly staff. It is pet friendly and in the summer they have a nice sundeck to the back of the pub with a kiddies play area.

Despite this being a little off our beaten track, we were given a nice warm welcome.
We had just eaten elsewhere so just tried a G&T each. Options of both G and T were plentiful. Traditional old me just went for a Bombay with straightforward Fever Tree tonic. It was marvellous.
The place is clean and tidy and had what looked like a decent number of locals enjoying a Friday night pint with friends.
Staff were very friendly and wished us well upon our departure.
A fine hostelry indeed.
