One of the best pubs we've visited. Food is tasty and comes in big portions. Lovely Sunday Roast, selection of craft local beers. Staff know the food in and out and will go out of their way happily and with a smile.
Such a warm and friendly welcome to this pub by every member of the staff that we dealt with.The young barman came outside and kept our drinks coming throughout our visit opening a tab without being asked.....this little thing made the place 5 star without question.The menu is concise but has all the usual classic meals at very reasonable prices. Would recommend to anyone.
Very warm welcome and delicious food enjoyed in the sunshine today. Chicken burger and fish and chips were both delicious. We can't give a higher recommendation. We will be back!
Dropped in for a drink, but ended up eating as well. Very nicely appointed, with friendly staff, and great food too. Look for the specials, because the Belly Pork with Black Pudding, Mash and Apple Gravy was well worth it, the burgers are a good size too. Give it a go, it’s nice!
Great pub, gorgeous food, large portions and great staff. Turned up on a Saturday night with no reservation but got a table and variety on menu was very good, would have eaten everything. Food came and wow, piping got massive portions had to eat it all!!! Staff even sung happy birthday and brought out a free little dessert for my sister even though we said birthday meal was an early celebration due to some of us not being around later in week. Will be back it's awesome, thank you.

Great welcome and very friendly staff. The pub allows dogs in the hard floored areas. We had a lovely roast dinner and dessert in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Definitely going to be going be stopping here again on our way home from a day at the coast.
Always a warm welcome from Karen. Dogs lazing by the fire and locals hanging out was the vibe on a Thursday evening. Took a seat after ordering drinks at the bar, great menu. Opted for two starters to share and both of us went for the steak. All I'm going to say here is, go try it :) I'll definitely be going back
Great food. The pub is under new management. Was in before Christmas and had four menus to choose from. The turkey was fantastic and the vegetables cooked to perfection.
Will definitely stop again. One customer said the ham sandwich was the best he had ever had.
Visited late Sunday for a Roast dinner. The pub is charming inside with a nice clean decor and has plenty of seating with real fires and a game area to play chess and others.
The staff were inviting and friendly and service was swift. Our dog was welcomed and water was offered, beer and wine selection was good with very clean glasses.
The roast was Ok, beef wasn't amazing but given our late arrival it was perfectly fine, one bowl of veg to share which was nicely presented and prepared. Sticky toffee pudding was lovely but one portion had partial stones from the dates in it.
All in all a nice place to eat and we will return.
