People really make a place and empire coffee has the loveliest person. While waiting for our sandwich, he gave us some bread to feed the pigeons and pointed out the wild ones. I picked up a delicious coffee with my sandwich, as well as the word "swally" 😆 You can tell he has a community of people who love this place and its owner. Thank you so much for making our first time in Glasgow so memorable.

I’m so glad to bump in to this place. While waiting for the bus to arrive I got to talk a bit with Rocco, who runs this place. He is really nice and nows several languages. Trying to make the place cozy, by adding a place to sit. Even that small it looks like he has everything you need there :)
Hint: miss the bus on purpose to chat with Rocco :)

Delicious toasted sandwiches with a healthy size of fillings, huge range of hot drinks and specialty coffees. Rocco is a delightful host and always takes the time to have a chat with you. Excellent service and delicious food.
The Empire sandwich and Matcha Latte are my top picks!

This man is the sweetest person in Scotland! He specially made the best iced mocha I've had in the UK, the most amazing sandwich. This is a must visit if you are in Glasgow. Plus it it by the beautiful Necropolis which has gorgeous sights of the city.

One of Glasgow’s ‘hidden’ gems. Great prices and the best sandwich and coffee I’ve had in the UK. Rocco the owner is a very passionate man and even took the time to have a chat with me. Highlight of my Glasgow trip! Vegan options available here, even coffee with vegan milk. Had the tastiest vegan sandwich here. Rocco, the owner of this shop is a very nice guy and a very good comedian. Spend some time with him and he will tell his amazing travel stories.

What a great little find! We walked past it twice because it's so easy to miss, but it is literally a phone booth (TARDIS, for you Doctor Who fans). Made-to-order sandwiches and some of the best coffee I had in Glasgow. Operated by a friendly gentleman who will also give you travel tips around the city.

A hidden gem just outside the city centre and worth the walk. Great chat and toasted sandwiches with a huge selection of hot drinks and snacks for such a tiny place! Sandwiches are large, filling and inexpensive. Occasionally specials such as currywurst or flatbreads are available.
