Hadn't been anywhere near Chow for a long time. Saw a Groupon type deal and decided to go for it to check it out again. Was pretty pleased. Service was very good, was getting busy, even for a Sunday night but they were really attentive. We both enjoyed our food (pics added) and left full and happy. Food was well cooked,both mean and bean curd dishes were cooked well and tasted great. Bit unsure given recent reviews but I can't fault anything at all - ok maybe the tiny slightly unclean toilet but no big deal against the delicious food we had. Plan to go back.

Great wee Chinese on Byres Rd. Quick turnaround and the staff can be a bit too attentive but the food is really good. We would recommend it.

Definitely recommend the 麻辣拌, which is packed with flavour, the sesame sauce is the highlight, you can get so many different types of veggies and meat in one dish, we all loved it so much! The fish in sauerkraut broth was great, sour and spicy as it should be.
The sweet and sour pork was a bit too hard to eat and a bit too sweet for our liking. The fish spiced aubergine turned out to be sweet and sour style as well which was not what we expected. The dry hot pots are alright but not as good as some other places.
Overall, a great selection, plenty seating and welcoming service.

Had a £9 Chinese fast food, including spicy stir-fried large intestine and rice. Very delicious foods. All staff are so friendly.
We went here as a family, 4 people. What delicious authentic Chinese food we got. The food was to die for and so so tasty!! It was also unreasonably priced and big portions. I forgot to take photos but 2 of us had chilli squid and fried fish dish. Both of which were excellent. We can't wait to go back to try out the other items on the menu. We sat in the small restaurant and it was lovely. Would also be nice if u were just fetching a take away!
Everything's so good, authentic north east Chinese style, same as you can find in China, reminder me of my Mum's cooking at home. U got to see the Chinese Manu for authentic food , the English version Manu doesn't cook the same food.
I wish this restaurant could open a branch in Manchester.

Frankly the food is amazingly great compares with other Chinese restaurants. However eating their food makes me sick almost every time, it’s 6am now and I’m dying in the toilet :(
Lovely tasty food, big portions, decent quick service and very reasonably priced. £63 for 2 courses and drinks for 4 of us. Loyalty scheme too with a cumulative 10% off stamp per visit up to half price.
