Acorn Restaurant

An absolute gem of a restaurant, the food was top notch, super fresh and really varied but with a lovely Spanish flavour running throughout. The seafood options were excellent and I’d highly recommend it for that alone. Not cheap but fairly priced in my opinion for the quality you get. Service was relaxed but attentive and recommendations were readily given, clearly there are a lot of regulars too which is no surprise!

If I can rate this restaurant any higher, I would. The food was fresh and well seasoned. The ambience was relaxing and cosy. The service was friendly and efficient. The manager asked us to remove a dish as believe we over ordered. Luckily we listened. We had r people and ordered scallops, oysters, mussels and fried fish for starters. For mains, braised beef, mussels, fish of day and fried fish. It was a lovely experience and we shall sure visit again. Thank you for a lovely evening. :)

It’s a real shame we took so long to try this restaurant out as it by far one of the best in the area. We tried a few different things out on the menu, well 3 of them were specials actually but every dish was superb. We would definitely recommend coming here, especially if like us you are celebrating an anniversary 😊 6 years 🥳 which also means it’s exactly six years since Poppy had her first outing with us (Popice ice cream van). My only recommendation to the restaurant and this is obviously just a recommendation is maybe put a pale ale or IPA on the drinks menu ☺️ please, I only ask as we will be back, soon 😁

What an experience. The service was first class. Informative and helpful. We were also greeted by the chef, who told us where the produce was from and showed us the tomahawk steak before it was cooked. I highly recommend the tomahawk by the way. The food was amazing. I couldn't fault any element of any dish Excellent. I will definitely be going again
