Stayed in town for a couple of days and was welcomed like a local at the bar. The drinks were great, but the people really make the place shine. You're doing a disservice to yourself if you don't check this place out when you're around Grantown.

Nice place to get out of the rain. I wouldn't say there was a great deal of atmosphere in this pub, but I felt that I was interrupting the member of staff from reading a book to get a drink. Yes, it was a nice clean pub, don't think I would rush back here

A friendly barman. A very decent pint of Best (so I had a second). A warm fire and biscuits for my dog. All round ideal 😁

The barman is a credit to his trade. Although the bar doesn't do meals, we were welcomed to grab some takeaway and eat it there. Great atmosphere drinking with the locals. Loved the whisky. Cheers.

Good and well kept beer, served with friendly service. Nice traditional pub and the local clientele were friendly and welcoming too. Lower level to rear of bar has pool table and darts but also a good seating area. There's a small secluded beer garden to the rear of the pub, when the weather behaves. All in all a very pleasant place for a few beers, on your own or with friends.

Yvonne and her whole family were friendly and all the locals and their dogs were fantastic. Bring treats for the dogs and they’ll be your best friend! Share a pint and say hello and watch some football or snooker! We will definitely come back to visit!

What a lovely welcome. We called in for a quick couple of drinks. No food but we were invited to eat our own food un the pub. The landlady's daughter was very friendly and chatty, as were the locals who were drinking. It us great to be made welcome when you are new to a place. Thanks
