Visited the Poet's Cafe at Lancrigg a handful of times after walks in the area.
Amazing food, good coffee, staff are always friendly.
I came in on Monday, I think it was just before they were about to close, but the lovely guy behind the bar said it was alright for me to stay and have a coffee. Really appreciated it, thank you!

Super cafe for the end of a hike. You can park for £6 and redeem the parking charge for coffee and tea. Brilliant! Watch out for Pebbles the cat who might hike some of the way with you too

We had a delightful rest at the Poet's Cafe in June 2023 after a long hike. It is about 15 minutes walk from Grasmere town center and very quiet, and peaceful. If you sit outside the view is stunning. We had a couple of lovely plant-based dishes which were tasty and original followed by a flapjack and some fudge. If you enjoy a great view and a quiet setting, you're in for a treat.
