Nice afternoon in Lanty Slee’s Langdale. Great atmosphere, lighting just right to make you feel in a place to stay.
Staff really friendly and attentive. Food we both had was lovely, and the Guinness served perfectly.
We stopped for breakfast before a long walk. Very friendly service and nice decor. 4 stars as I think £23.50 for two coffees and two bacon sandwiches is too much.
I stayed at the New Dungeon Hotel, and Lanty Slee’s is just a stone's throw away. I found myself at Lanty Slee’s two nights in a row, drawn by the friendly service, incredible live performances and exceptional food (the mushroom soup and the prawn small plate were divine). And, of course, the Wrynose Rum was absolutely delicious!
Great place for burgers and pints - really quick service from friendly team and food was delicious. There was live music as well which made such a brilliant atmosphere.

We've been visiting here for many years, it was previously the Sticklebarn and the menu was very limited. The new owners have now transformed the menu. The choice, quality and service were outstanding!!! We'll be eating there on a regular basis during our Lake District holidays from now on. Well done to the whole team at Lanty Slees, you're doing a great job. First class!
Exactly what we wanted after a long Sunday walk, friendly service, amazing food (the chicken pie was beautiful), and the live music was just the cherry on top, couldn’t fault it!
The food was legitimate. Clearly a 5 star chef who takes their craft seriously works there. The service was prompt and attentive. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed.
Great pub to visit in the area great food and drinks. We had some coffees and cakes would recommend the rockie road
Our new favourite post hiking spot in the Lake District. Really stunning place to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery, or duck inside for a cosy log fire, both of which we did as we got 4 seasons in the space of the 2 hours spent there. Great food, beer and staff. Looking forward to returning next year.
My daughter and I visited the recently opened Lanty Slee's Langdale after previously visiting when it was the Stickle Barn.
The team is very welcoming and friendly and it was a pleasure to
meet the owner Joe who also runs Lanty Slee's in Elterwater
We enjoyed a very good meal there -I had a delicious beef burger and my daughter had a very fresh salad - and we met some very interesting locals. We felt most at home and came away dreaming of returning to the area permanently!
The premises has also been tastefully transformed with the addition of the locally made wooden tables in the large dining area.
Let’s us hear it for Lanty Slees long may it continue!
