One of my favourite pubs. It is set in the beautiful Great Langdale. A wide selection of real ales - well kept. Enjoyed the steak and ale pie and chips - large portion. Tasted really nice. Can't wait until my next visit.

Fabulous location. Well kept, lovely real ales in the climbers bar. The rooms were clean and warm. Breakfast was excellent. I didn’t have the evening meal as I arrived late but they did ring to ask if I wanted anything let for me. Used as a base for walking and I couldn’t fault the hotel the staff. I will definitely be back!

Lots of paid parking available here. We stopped here for a pint a bowl of chips and both were excellent after a long walk. The chips were proper chips! Nice sitting area outside as well.
