At first glance outside looked a bit iffy and we nearly didn't go in , but, I'm really glad we did as this is a really nice pub. The staff were very friendly providing excellent service and a great breakfast, which would have earned five stars had the sausages been a bit meatier, even so it was still excellent value. I would recommend it. A lesson learned " don't judge a book by its cover"๐.

Sometimes a place is so good you have to keep returning, this market pub is one of them..
The food is really well cooked and the portion size and value for money is second to non.
The outside seating gives the customer a great view of the hustle and bustle of this local Norfolk market town and the inside is cosy and almost timeless.
The staff were a credit to the management each time we visited, and really helpful and accomodating to my visually impaired colleague.
Last time I had a burger today a wrap but both were mouthwatering.
There was a good selection of food on the menu but do check if you have any food allergies and ask.
This can get busy during the day which is a sign of how popular it is.
Although there is an air of a local pub for local people about it, you are still guaranteed a welcome and superb service
Good food, large choice of beverages. Convenient for market and town centre.

Great traditional town centre pub - off the holiday makers' main trail. A warm friendly welcome. My wife and I had a great meal from a big selection - almost more than we could manage ! And a very interesting discussion with the landlady about the pub, the town and past present and future. Just what a pub should be. Warmly recommended.
Been here a few times recently with my daughter. Really decent quality food at fair prices! Good atmosphere ,not too busy or noisy and the staff are friendly and polite. Love the all day brunch ๐

We went for a breakfast which was not to bad tbh I liked it ate it all good value for money and it is a nice stop of when you get off the train station on your holidays for a quick drink and food before you hit the main strip and the beach
The Mangeress and staff are lovely,polite,friendly and courteous nothing too much trouble to do, and food is Excellent would definitely recommend it's nice and hot,will definitely go there again.
Walked by this pub for years on the way to Troll Cart for lunch, but today Troll Cart was packed with kids and pushchairs, so we doubled back to Market Tavern.
We will never go to Troll Cart again. The food here was fantastic, great quality, enormous portions and so cheap.
Staff are brilliant, atmosphere is relaxed, good selection of beers and food. What's not to like 5*******
I had Doom Bar which was a good pint, followed up with home-made Chilli concarnie. Lovely jublee! ๐
