Roxie Steak- Wimbledon

Great place usually. On this time, the rib eye at first was undercooked. Kitchen was brilliant and took it back straight away but even when cooked properly the overall steak quality wasn't great- bit chewy on places and can only describe as stodgy in others. Service and everything else was spot on though.

I visited the place today just after noon to try their Sunday Roast, paying extra for the fillet steak option (instead of the default rump steak) and still water. The steak was cooked as I wanted, the place wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be and more spacious than it appears from outside. The waiter was friendly and accommodating, similar to my past visit months ago. I will recommend this place only if you are in the Wimbledon area and looking for steak without paying more money at places further up the street.

The best steak we have ever had. My partner is extremely picky when ordering steak and they cooked it to her exact taste not to mention I ordered medium well and it was also perfect (never been to a steakhouse and they’ve managed to get it perfect) succulent fillet steaks, gorgeous chips and a lovely place to sit! Highly recommend.

I have been to all the Roxie locations. Clearly I keep going back so I do think they do a decent steak. On this particular day we went for the Sunday roast. The prawns and chorizo starter is delicious. The creamy spinach was a but thick; the mash potatoes was delicious. Those who had the fillet roast were very pleased, the chicken was slightly dry. My sirloin steak of delicious; the picanha was just okay. They allowed us to bring our own birthday cake without charge. Unfortunately, the service was very slow despite there only being one other table in the restaurant. This does seem to be a theme of the Roxie Wimbledon location. It is reasonably priced and ended up being about £60 a head. Haven’t been put off it but wouldn’t be my go-to.
