Ask Italian

First time I've had or even heard of ASK Italian but glad I found out. I did want a cheeky Nandos but the queue was ridiculous and ASK had a few tables and no queue... Sat and seen to pretty quickly and given a free shot of lemonade while we pondered over the menu and asked if every course was okay and attentive to our drinks when they were empty. We had a really lovely woman who served us. Starter: calamari = delicious, light, fluffy coating on the outside with just the right amount of sauce to dip in to. Arancini balls (wife's) where very tasty too. Main: calzone - absolutely packed with hot delicious meats and sauce. Not like a lot of places where you get 25% filling and 75% dough. Dessert: baked chocolate gnocchi - I don't have much of a sweet tooth but this was absolutely without a doubt, one of my favourite desserts I've ever had!! The pastry was hot/warm/fresh, dipped into chocolate and then with a bite you find this smooth warm chocolate inside... I would go back for this alone! But while I'm there I'd definitely have it all again. Cant fault the food or the service one bit. Gotta give it 4* purely because it's a family place and there's young humans about who can be a bit loud and distracting. Also found the seating functional and not comfy for a sit down meal.

Visited for the first time on the weekend for dinner and definitely will be back for more. Food was yummy. Desserts were amazing. I was most impressed by our waitress, so attentive and pleasant. Felt welcome and valued as a customer. I wish more places would treat customers like that. Thank you Ask Italian

This restaurant is one of my favourite at Bluewater. The food is incredible and is always piping hot and fresh. The staff here also make the experience all the better as they are so friendly and welcoming. I love the addition of the free shot of homemade lemonade as it is so tasty! Its also a very pretty restaurant and there is a lot of options on the menu for everyone.

I always love the food and find the staff are very friendly, attentive, and go out of their way to be helpful. I moved to Suffolk a year ago but I drive back to Bluewater to see friends and always ask to meet here for this reason. And the dough balls are incredible! I’ve been enjoying my Ask newsletter perks too. Lots of options on the menu… so a great place to bring anyone who is vegetarian or has dietary restrictions. I have noticed the staff are usually the same so wanted to show some recognition for their hard work. Will be back again soon!

We had a beautiful meal yesterday. The food was piping hot and delicious. The children loved their pizzas and there was activity sheets and crayons for them. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was the only restaurant that we went to that would seat us without a reservation. Highly recommended when it at bluewater.
