Moghul Empire

The Moghul Empire is a good India takeaway on Wellowgate in Grimsby,it's been open for quite some years now. It was a really well decorated place but I must admit that it's looking a little tired these days.lts very clean though and the staff are friendly. Quite a large menu with all the usual and a good assortment of speciality dishes. The wheelchair access is reasonable but parking is not the easiest. The menu is online and online ordering is available. It has a 4**** food hygiene rating. Food review June 2019. I ordered a lamb Balti,plain rice and a plain naan bread. The rice was freshly steamed,the naan bread was pretty good but I felt that it had been made a little earlier in the day. The Balti was very enjoyable, really well spiced with thick consistency plenty of fresh tomato and onion,with of good sized pieces of tender lamb,a decent meal overall. I paid £9.40 for my meal. Update December 2022. They now have a 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 food hygiene rating.

Oh my god wow, i had the veg korma and chilli cheese naan was the best thing ive ever had from an indian takeaway flavour was amazing and wasnt mushy like most idian takeaways around here, my fiance had the chicken tikka masala and a plain naan and she said the same as what ive just said, will 110% be going here again next payday, thank you for our dinner!

I went with my friend Max from Bucharest. He, as did I, enjoyed the dining experience at the Empire, but was most interested in the hidden treasure that they keep at the restaurant- I can't say any more! The wine was great, but the restaurant was quite dark in places - at one part my friend Max even had to light a match! We were served by the lovely Helena who helped us chose our dishes carefully. Would definitely go again, but try and avoid the herring in red curry sauce starter. It was definitely a regrettable choice in the morning.
