Carlo's Trattoria

Honestly, I couldn't fault our experience. Incredibly friendly and attentive staff/management; seemed to genuinely enjoy having customers and engaged with them all throughout...a rare display these days. Amazing value for money because the size of the main dishes are immense. You'll definitely leave fully and happy. Food quality was very good, really tasty dishes and lots of choice. We had starters, main and desserts, and had no complaint on any of them. I'd also say the place was buzzing with activity and sound. Would definitely go back.

I totally loved the 2 times I visited there. The Manager is an extremely friendly person who goes out of his way to have a short gist with you to make yo welcome, and talks through the menu and your choices, with good recomendations! Talk about a guy who knows his menu! The other staff are also very friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing and the food almost becomes part of what you went there to do as part of having a good time!!!

Wonderful food, I had lobster pasta of the specials board. It had a decent amount of lobster and the pasta was obviously homemade. It was delicious. Worth the price that came with it! We shared the fish starter sharing board which overall was tasty. The dessert was inspired, poached pear and cinnamon ice cream! That alone is enough to make me come back. Overall a wonderful evening, delicious food and friendly service.

We had a very memorable dinner at Carlo’s Trattoria ! Despite booking a table for 22 of us at very short notice , Bonnie and Jay went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing dinner for my family gathering. The service was attentive and impeccable throughout the whole evening and the food truly delicious with very generous portions. We all had the fixed menu with a selection of starters ( the fried calamari are the best I have eaten in a very long time - even my Sicilian auntie thought they were tastier than the ones in Sicily ) followed by the prawns risotto and fresh ravioli with porcini mushroom and sage which were both heavenly! We ended the dinner with an amazing selection of desserts, all beautifully presented. I live in London but I will definitely drive back to Guildford just to eat at Carlo’s again!. Thank you SO MUCH Bonnie and Jay for looking after us and making the evening truly special for me and my family! Hope to see you again soon Barbara Z

The food here is beyond amazing. We chose tiger prawns followed by chicken breast & lamb from the very reasonably priced lunch menu (£20 for 2 courses). Each dish was cooked to perfection and presented as if on MasterChef. The staff are friendly and the chefs clearly know their onions (pun intended) and cook with passion. We very much look forward to going back!

Wow! Amazing food! We will definitely come back again if we're in the area. We had the 2-course set menu which was around £20 which is really good price! We had the breaded king prawn to start, and chicken breast with cream and mushroom, lamb with sauce as main. The set menu came with roasties and veggies which were perfectly cooked too! Everything tasted amazing, even the garlic bread that they served at the start. Looking forward to trying out their pasta!
