The New Rose

Been coming on and off for years. 2019 in the UK for a visit & taking family out for a meal. Think it's changed a bit over the lats few years but still above average for Indian/Bangladeshi cuisine. EDIT again back 2023, still good, compares well to most other Indian restaurants I've been too in all countries.

I’ve been a customer for 10+ years and have loved this place eat in or takeaway. Tonight however, it didn’t go so perfectly as usual.To begin with, I was being quite a difficult customer, challenging them to a spicy, but creamy curry I hadn’t had before. I was recommended an extra hot Murgh Makhoni. However the food when it arrived was the wrong order! Then after calling, it was confirmed it was a mix up. They picked up the wrong order curry and I patiently waited for mine. However another 45 minutes went by. So I called back to confirm I wanted to cancel for a refund as I was worried the food would be cold. They reassured me another was being made fresh as we spoke, as my original was sent quite far, and would definitely have been too cold. And Boy, when it turned up was it fresh! It was piping hot, and made to perfection. It was honestly the BEST curry I’ve ever had. Naan bread was perfect, the Murgh Makhoni extra hot was unbelievable. The Red Rose team pulled it out the bag tonight in the face of adversity. Great job guys and thanks again.
