Consistently good, piping hot food. Specials menu daily. Wonderful sized portions. Always just excellent. Clean, well kept bar. Excellent standards all round.

You won't get a better pint in Halifax than here. Landlord is great, food is beautiful especially the lamb curry.

We go most weeks for a quiet lunch. They have a set menu and daily specials. The choice of food and quality is great and nothing costs more than £4.75 with hot drinks costing around £1.
The lager is always in perfect condition and everywhere is spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly too.

Best pub in the locality by far. Professional, welcoming staff, and the homemade food (lunchtimes only and except for Sunday's) is superb. A warm atmosphere is ensured by the regulars. Altogether, a comfortable "proper" pub.
Lovely pub, quite traditional with a modern feel. We had pies with proper chips and mushy peas, absolutely perfect although the portions were very large! We will be returning soon
