Been there a number of times to eat over the years. Always great service from happy staff and fantastic food. The place has always been busy when I've been and the service has not noticeably been affected. Thank you so much and long may your business keep going as you've been a great find. :)

Had date night with the other half called in on the off chance on a Friday night really busy but the staff could not do enough to fit us in and I would have waited longer for the food it was top class and service was excellent too will definitely be returning and will recommend to friends too

Such a wide selection of food, Was so hard to choose from as it all sounded so nice! The food itself was lovely and very well presented! The staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning to try more off the menu! ☺️

I had steak with Yorkshire pudding at the pub. It was delicious and valued for money. Staff was attentive. She noted it was a bit difficult for me to use a butter knife to cut the steak, she asked if I needed a sharper one. Impressed!

Can't comment on room as didn't stay Had Sunday carvery for 11 of us and thoroughly enjoyed. Couple of hiccups with service but staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Booked to go again. Food excellent and very good value for money.

We had a meal here last night 30th September 2023. Would definitely recommend the food it was exceptional. My husband had the fish pie and I had fish, chips and mushy peas. I had treacle sponge and custard for dessert. 5 star***

We called last minute and got a reservation, on arrival we was greeted by the new owners who were very pleasant and welcoming! The staff were very friendly and the food... amazing! We had the garlic mushroom starter and Sunday lunch! Could not fault it at all. Worth every penny! You must try the steak pie if you do visit. The venue itself is in a perfect location and it was lovely and clean. Highly recommend

Lvly place lvly staff nothing too much trouble and food delicious and plenty of it, very impressed Will deffo go back We went at lunch time very enjoyable and was a very pleasant afternoon 💖

Have just got back home from seeing the cult at the piece hall . I was looking for a room for the night just somewhere to lay my head before coming home the next morning . A friendly Yorkshire welcome was offered when I arrived room was basic but perfectly fine with coffee making facilities and an en-suite bathroom . Halifax centre is only 5-10 mins drive .The inn was also spotlessly clean I had a good nights sleep and breakfast was served the following morning and I have to say it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had (full English £10) one thing I would say I did struggle with the shower (room 5) the position of the shower head had a life of its own and wouldn't move /swivel but it’s was warm and clean all in all I would highly recommend staying the stump cross inn
