Online orders apparently taken position over paying onsite customers
If you cannot cope doing both close and just do online this way you don’t annoy customers
Spoke with management afterwards who totally understood and said a team meeting would be called to end this situation moving forward *Very Positive *

The coffee here is undeniably the best in Halstead, always made to your specific requirements. The poached eggs are always spot on and they do the best sausage and bacon sarnie ever!! Staff are always friendly and helpful and there's a great atmosphere when you sit in.

Beautiful peri peri chicken wrap! Been many times before and will continue to do so!!!! I recommend their breakfasts too! We had a few breakfasts delivered and it was quick and delicious!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Such a lovely place to sit and have a brew, Kevin and the staff are friendly and always helpful. The kavern is faultless!! Good food, good coffee, an a corka of a frappe!! I highly recommend this gem in Halstead.

Independant cafe, with a very good coffee and extremely nice food. Service is also very good. Not somewhere for 'comfort' (i.e. no couches / slumber chairs), so more for breakfast or lunch. Fruit infused water freely available - always welcome, and food is not fatty - everything tastes 'healthy'. Small outside area, which is also good to see.

Cosy little cafe with good covid safety practices in place. Had breakfast here bacon sandwich for myself, alot of bacon for the price and the girlfriend had the French toast and she was definitely very happy. Coffee also very good.

We went for a Sunday brunch and were pleasantly surprised. We had three different meals including a sizable kids meal, a nice scone and a sausage sarnie, all were of good quality with the sarnie served with a nice side salad. The coffee was good, the milkshake with mini marshmallows was highly rated and the service was excellent.

The Coffee Kavern is one of my favourite places to go whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or just for a coffee and some cake. Consistently good food and service with the most warm and welcoming atmosphere (not to mention delicious cake!). I look forward to popping in again soon!

This really is the best coffee house in town. Great family run business, always smiling and happy to help. Coffee is great and they always accommodate us even when there’s a large group of us. Menu is great and decor is lovely. Really worth a visit and we love supporting small family businesses like this rather than lining the pockets of the super giants like costa. Please visit them 😀👍🏻

Food is fresh and cooked to order. All day breakfasts here also jacket potatoes and fresh sandwiches and side salads very nicely presenred. The usual expected menu and prepared nicely with salads. Gluten free and dairy free muffins. Plenty of choice to choose from. They do a Busy trade. Clean premises. Very good overall. Hot chocolate is pleasant. No hesitation. In recommending.
