Kingfisher Fish Bar

While working in the area myself and my team decided to try this place. Loved it! Best chips in Southampton by far. All my staff enjoyed them too (prob cause I was paying ;) But all joking aside, I've told so many people about this chip shop since my visit. I will be driving from Fareham to get my fish and chips in future. I also shared half a battered mars bar and again amazing! The curry sauce was also good. I thought the price was reasonable in this day and age and competitive with other chip shops. (I think people moaning about the price in previous reviews probably forgot everything has gone up, and chips don't cost a quid anymore) The staff member serving us was exceptional in his customer service too. 5 Stars from us!

Great little find as I have a gluten intolerance and these guys have a good list of options available. The chips are a good portion and also very tasty! I’ve had so far the scampi, cod bites and the cod. They also do a good range of burgers and other take away foods I’m not sure if you could get them gluten free though. I would recommend giving them a try for sure.

I highly rate Rick's. Possibly the best chippy in Southampton. A varied menu with some real treats including the gourmet menu you wouldn't normally expect. Very friendly staff, catering for all ages and tastes. I always go to Rick's when in Hamble and I highly recommend the shop and staff and look forward to my next visit.
