Theobroma Chocolate Lounge

These guys are great and always friendly even if they look a bit sour faced sometimes 😄 Makes sense, I would be too in customer service every damn day. My favorite is the hot chocolate and moccachino, made with real chocolate, and the lovely Asian chicky always remembers how I want it. I prefer these guys - food included - compared to the Hamilton central branch who are rude, food is yuck and their place is always grubby.

Yesterday I went to Theobroma Chocolate Lounge for chocolate and it was exceptional a lovely experience overall. The chocolate drink was a treat I hardly ever get unless I'm here. I ordered rosti with bacon crispy also delicious and asked for scrambled eggs not poached. They chef obliged me (I don't eat eggs unless it is scrambled and or as an omelet. Egg has to be hard not runny I'm not an egg fan. It came with mayonnaise sauce to complement the rosti. I always thanks the hosts when I leave. I hear some customers moaning about the condition of the seats however my seating was comfortable. And the house is always tidy and clean when I go in. Believe me they try their best to please customers however some cannot be pleased regardless. New seating ? maybe brighter furniture maybe but I went for the food experience and I really like it here. I especially love the food and chocolate choices on offer here, big mihi Theobroma staff

Took my son for a very rare brunch out and gambled on the chocolate lounge having good food as well as their luxury chocolates and I’m so glad I did! I had my stock standard eggs benny and it was so delicious and light that I found myself unable to stop eating even to help my son sort his plate!! My son had his very first steak sandwich and it was crazy tasty. So much thought has gone into this meal I was compelled to show my son how customers show cafes their gratitude in NZ. A great review to spread the love!! Thank very much for this amazing memory with my son.

Great place! Service was super friendly and helpful, great range of food and drinks and amazing choices of chocolate. I had a normal fruit salad from the everyday menu which was so good!! Super fresh (bananas, gold kiwi, pineapple, mixed red berrys, melon, yogurt, honey) and great value. The waffels are really good as well. Would totally go back and try a hot chocolate next time!
