Hadn't booked in to the castle (now necessary) so went for tea instead. Very pleasantly surprised. Wonderful range of interesting teas and divine hot chocolate. We also had scones, freshly made with buttermilk. Delicious! Service was genuinely very friendly too. So if you're in or near Harlech and fancy a delicious brew and a sweet bite you'll be hard pushed to improve on Cemlyn Tea Shop.

A gorgeous sunny tea room afternoon. The drinks we had were very well made and tasted great. Geoff came out to have a chat with us while we were drinking our drinks and we ended up having such a chat that we stayed an hour over closing time! He had such a passion for his tea and we all enjoyed listening to his knowledge. Will definitely be returning to try some more tea and cake on our next trip to Wales. Thank you xxx

We always enjoy our visits to the Cemlyn Tea Shop. They offer a fantastic range of teas and super coffee too, along with a good choice of cakes and other food. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a great view from the back of the tea shop and from to terrace of the beach and the castle.

Proper tea made properly and a massive selection to choose from. Can heartily recommend their own blend of earl grey and darjeeling. Great views of the castle from the terrace. Very popular so try to get in early for the best seats. Kim says they do plain scones, which pleases her greatly, though I can't be bothered with the fruit/ no fruit debate, personally. 😃 Highly recommend this place for tea lovers. Great service too.

Our favourite place to visit with the best hot chocolate we've ever had. The Welsh afternoon tea is brilliant, as is the billionaires shortbread and the paninis! Lovely views of the castle and the sea. Theyre very friendly, can offer great advice for day trips and dogs are welcome. Our daughter has multiple allergies and they were well informed about what she couls or couldnt have without having to check which was amazing! This rarely happens anywhere and made our experience so much better as we knew we could relax and she would be safe.

Lovely tea shop. Very friendly staff and a nice outside area with views of the castle.

The abricot almond cake (glutenfree) was delícious (not utterly sweet as most GF pastry)!! My partner enjoyed the chocolate cherry cake even more. Great coffee, which can sometimes be hard to find in Wales. Kind service. Great view on the castle.
