The staff were lovely here. Fully booked for a meal but shuffled around chairs so we could sit outside for a drink. Beautiful views and accommodating staff - food looked good too! After a day on the beach and exploring the castle, this is a perfect venue to relax as the sun goes down over the sea view.
What a lovely place, beautiful terrace outside at the back with views across the sea, of the castle & Royal St.David's golf course. Food superb.. highly recommend.. lovely inside seating area as well. Ideal for all.
Place looks weird and run done when u walk in. Best part for this restaurant is beautiful view over the sea, that was amazing. On the nice day that would be top spot to have lunch. We had lam sandwich, which actually was quite tasty. The chips were undercooked though! They don’t do table service and you have to order and pay at the counter, menu said cash only, we were almost about to leave (seriously, who carries cash now!!?), but lady said that they do take card as well as only cash point in the village is broken! Personally would not go back again.
To be clear, we didn’t eat/drink here as had limited time while visiting the castle.
So, why the review, because they are openly encouraging CASH, that’s why.

Just when I was getting worried about finding a nice place for a beer in Harlech that would have a Castle view along came this place that had it all. Nice interior from owners that actually care about their customers with plenty of seating inside and out.
The outdoor area was my preference on this nice sunny day and enjoyed a couple of pints of Shed Head with spectacular views of the Harlech Castle.
Will definitely return to check out the menu.
Short staffed so didn't tell us about the specials board. My gin was floating in a load of juniper berries I had not requested. The food we had was basic but nice. I would have loved the lamb but wasn't told it was available until someone else had ordered it!
Busy cafe, had to wait to nab a table. Limited parking directly outside for 1hr only. More car parking round the corner up the hill. Food was decent. The views are spectacular across Harlech beach and towards Abersoch as well as the castle in Harlech.
The Southern Fried Chicken was the best I'd had in a very long time.
It is the view that makes this place special.

Stopped for a quick bite before visiting the castle. Decent food and drink but a bit on the pricey side. Friendly staff. Amazing views
We haven't eaten here yet. The first year, we've called in, 3 times in 10 days, great pint , lovely staff, fantastic views of the coastline from a gallery platform. We will be calling again.
Great terrace garden with sublime views. Lovely staff and a good selection of drinks and food. Welsh rarebit was great.
