The Fat Badger has to be one of my favourite pubs in the country. Every time we come to Harrogate, we always visit this fantastic pub. The atmosphere is cosy yet debonair. Wonderful lighting and decor. Good cocktails, I enjoyed my old fashioned. I also ordered the vegan tacos, but I scoffed them before taking a picture as they were delicious. It just so happens to be adjoined to my favourite hotel, which is a lovely, fantastic hotel.
Had dinner here with my wife. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced compared to the tannin level which we ate in the night after which I thought wasn't as good and overpriced. Staff were very friendly and service good and would certainly eat in the fat badger again

I've been looking for a great burger and was told to try this place. Sadly another sauceless burger with melted cheese. The raw onion (perhaps fried would have improved it) was literally a sliced in the centre which meant you had a mouth full of onion when you reached it. The tomato relish served with the fries was very nice and was handy to mix with mayo and make my own burger sauce.
I believe the battered hake was very good though.
Probably the best fish n chips I’ve had in Britain! Great selection of local hand pumped ales and bitters!
Love the scampi in mustard sauce. We arrived around 1pm and theres plenty of tables. The steak is really tender and the atmosphere is pretty chilled and relaxed. Definitely would come again for special occasions.
Ate here with family. All adults. Our 2 guests hadn't visited here before. They commented that it's such a lovely place. We all enjoyed our food and drink. The food, drink, decor and staff are all to a high standard. The tables and chairs are spaced adequately so as customers are not to be squashed in together.
Our 2 guests are vegan but they had no problem choosing a nice dish. Which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Great dinner! Quality food and efficient staff. We were staying at the Hotel and the food here was really good. The steak melts in your mouth and the fat chips were the best I have ever had. So soft and tasty. The sticky toffee pudding is the best I have had in the while and the small Mussels were served really hot, great portion and very meaty. Great meal. We truly enjoyed.

Wow this place is great. Beautiful restaurant. Had fish and chips which had a huge fish on the plate! Beware though when you arrive and get seated at your table. You'll be asked if you want water. Ask for tap water otherwise £5 added on your bill! Apart from that a lovely experience in an award winning restaurant.
First time eating here and it was lovely! Great building and atmosphere. We had seafood starter and main, the fish was cooked perfectly! Will definitely be going back.
