Dougie's Fish And Chips

Just visited for the 2nd time in 2 weeks and the fish and chips are excellent. Lightly fried fish and very good chips, not soggy or heavy. I think they were even better than before, with the previous owner. My friends also agreed. Cooked to order, not left standing in the warmer. Keep up the good work.

Partner and I thought we'd give Dougie's a try as we've moved closer to there than Drakes. Brilliant! Fish was freshly fried, and chips were nice - quite mushy, though. Curry sauce was lovely and hot, too, despite us going around an hour before closing. Lady behind the counter was lovely, too, and even marked my box which had s+v on as my partner didn't want any on his. The portions were so big! We very rarely are unable to empty our plates, but both of us had to leave some chips! Not badly priced, either. £17-something for 2 fish and chips and 2 curry sauces. Would return :)
