I ate here for my birthday. Unfortunately, my appetite only allowed for one course. Fortunately, it was a case of quality over quantity with the Chicken Emilio. It was rich without being overpowering, and the portion size was generous enough.

We had an evening meal at Taverna on a wet Wednesday night & it was absolutely superb.
I had the feta filo parcels with sesame seeds & honey & my husband had the lamb koftas. All came in a reasonable time & lovely & hot.
For mains my husband had the chargrilled chicken breast stuffed with spinach & feta, rice & tsatziki & I had the chicken breast with onions & mushrooms in a creamy brandy sauce with chips which was to die for. So rich & decadent!
I somehow managed to fit in a dessert of baklava. I'm so glad I did as it was the best baklava I've ever tasted. Sweet, sticky & unctuous.
Then to finish an Irish coffee.
Throughout the meal the staff were polite & attentive. To be honest I don't think I could fault anything other than the fact they are not on my doorstep at home, so I can't come back whenever I feel like it, for a fabulous meal!

A wonderful, warm and welcoming restaurant. We had the fish mezze - it was incredible, a real feast for two people. We also enjoyed a bottle of, new to us but it's been made for over 2000 years, Retsina - well worth trying. Thank you to all the team at Taverna.

I was visiting the area of Harrogate with a close friend, a little trip during Easter weekend.
We booked a table at Taverna Harrogate.
Such a lovely restaurant, friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere.
I will definitely have to visit again.

I don’t normally post reviews but this place was amazing. Me and my husband had the nicest experience from start to finish. Our first time in Harrogate and we was just going for a walk and we came across this place and decided to try it, even though we were a bit hesitant as we were not dressed for here at all, that did not make a difference. The staff were amazing could not do enough for us even brought over a free drink. I would most definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be visiting again on our next trip to Harrogate. Keep the amazing work up Taverna 💜

LOVED IT.
Atmosphere was alive! Staff was excellent. Hospitable. Warm. Understanding. We had kids Slovakia, a mixed grill and the Taverna salad. The salad, was nothing like I expected. And I couldn't stop eating it. Fresh, light, perfectly balanced. The grills were superb, as expected from a top-notch restaurant.
Heartfelt and wholly recommended this treasure.
And I noted, each guest seemed to having a great time and enjoying their splendor.
