We’ve just got back from Chuck Burger. It’s the first time we’ve been there despite living locally. The food was delicious, cocktails well made and staff friendly and knowledgable about their products. We had a lovely meal surrounded by some old school blast from the past tunes (albeit maybe a tiny bit loud, this could just be our age though!!). We’ll definitely be back! Thank you!!

Chuck now have a burger truck (‘Chuck Truck’) which seems to roam around London and they have also opened up a new Spitalfields site… but we went back to the original in Hatch End. As most burger joints are, this is a winner amongst our meat eating friends – but there are some pretty good options for vegetarians. Perhaps not that many, but the ones they have are good options!

One of the good burger places I have been to. Good ambiance and bar. Must try the Korean barbeque wings from the starter section. Excellent customer service and smiling staff. Burgers are well priced .

Found this place in the neighbourhood a while ago. Because I'm not a big of burgers, i never stopped by. A friend of mine suggested this place and wasn't a dissapointment at all. The services were pretty quick and the burgers were not too bad. The quantity of their smoothies are just massive unlike other places where they serve in small glasses and the consistency is also hopeless. Loved it sooo much! I'm gonna drop by more often to try their other smoothies.

What is it these days with burger joints? Why is it, whenever you mention a recent visit to a meat-between-bun joint are you suddenly met with wide-eyed, slack-jawed looks as if you’ve aligned yourself to a meaty gang? Why is it that when you profess to be a Meatliquor guy or a Honest Burger gal are you met in equal quantities with giddy shared appreciation or genuine outrage?

I love burgers, like really really LOVE burgers and luckily for me, there's an outstanding burger bar situated just a ten minute drive away from my flat. Chuck, in Hatch End, is nestled amongst a high street full of restaurants and has served as the perfect hangover cure to me on many a Sunday afternoon.

I'm a creature of habit so once I find something I like, I tend to stick to it over and over again. CHUCK however broke my monotony and I found myself  sampling something different every time I went - first there was the devil burger, followed by the bacon and cheese and then on to the dolly....this was all until I met the piggy burger. this little piggy is aptly named as it's a 28 day aged hunk of beef topped with pulled pork and coleslaw sandwiched between a soft brioche bun..... I dream of this burger sometimes. It's a thing of beauty. If i were to order another burger in there I think I'd feel guilty...and that's the thing about the piggy I love. She makes you feel dirty.

My hangovers pack a punch so I don't stop there to appease them, I need fries and CHUCK fries are legendary in their own right. The chilli cheese are piled high with fire bomb chilli and melted cheese but do your self a favour and go for the bacon and cheese loaded fries, honestly you can thank me later. Aside from the food, one of the things I love is the way the food is served, everything comes on little metal trays with your cutlery in a pot on the table. The walls are also adorned with interesting bits for you to look at whilst you dribble waiting for your food....

Now if like me, you like to indulge a little hair of the dog, let me talk to you about the Pornstar Martini's. These passionfruit beauties are my absolute favourite drink and CHUCK does the best pornstar I've had - I'd go as far as to say they are better than STK and that's a bold statement. Trust me, if you're going book a cab and have a couple of these with your food - you won't regret it.

Great wings. Really good buffalo wings, environment and service are also very good, not sure about the burgers as did not get a chance to try but looking forward to my next visit. A little pricey but a good night out. Also the earl grey mojito was excellent (non alcoholic cocktail)

It’s no secret that The Orange Buffalo is one of my favourite places to eat in the whole of London. Their wings, blue cheese dressing, curly fries… everything, is top notch.

So you can imagine my reaction when I was not only told that there’s a place that does better buffalo wings than The Buffalo, but was told that there’s a place that does better better buffalo wings than the Buffalo… while eating at The Buffalo. It makes it a lot harder to tell someone they don’t know what they’re talking about whilst they’re eating what they’re talking about… That last sentence made more sense in my head.

So, I grabbed a few other friends, as well as Priya (the friend who I went to The Orange Buffalo with) and headed towards CHUCK Burger Bar; the home place of these mythical wings.

Straight off the bat, there’s one thing I have against CHUCK… It’s bloody location! I mean Hatch End? Really?! I understand that good food needs to be spread out within the city so that everybody has an amazing local but still… Hatch End is not a short journey for the majority of Londoners and I am going to selfishly and childishly complain.

The actual interior of CHUCK is pretty damn nice; striking a decent balance between a bar in the vane of How I Met Your Mother’s McLaren's, and a hipster’s wet dream.

If you’ve read my reviews of The Coffee Jar and Daisy Green, then you know that good service is really important to me. Nobody wants to wait twenty minutes just to order a drink and if I’ve been waiting for the bill for longer thirty then that meal should legally be declared free. CHUCK Burger Bar though has some great staff. The guy serving our able ( I believe his name was Chris) was super friendly and never at any point made us feel like we were keeping him from skulking in the corner.

But all of that is only important if the food is actually tasty. Good service is all well and good but I’m not about to head back to a restaurant that serves shitty food just because the workers know how to smile… however I’ll be returning to CHUCK because their food is the exact opposite of shitty.

The buffalo wings at CHUCK Burger Bar were almost faultless. They weren't overpoweringly tangy like certain places serve their wings and the buttermilk coating they’re fried in offers a different experience than the wings on offer at The Orange Buffalo - but I can’t backup Priya’s claims that they’re actually better than OB’s.

You have more choice at The Orange Buffalo when it comes to buffalo wings. Prefer mild wings? Go for the Original. Like your wings to come with a kick? Order the Woof Woof or the Vincent. Are you clinically insane? Then you want the Viper wings. At CHUCK though, if you want buffalo wings then you better like the one flavour that they offer which you probably will, because like I said, they're awesome. Other than the choice of sauces though, there really is no separating the two in terms of quality.

For sides I went with the Loaded Fries which came topped with melted cheese, spring onions and jalapeños and it was about as good as it sounds (unless of course you think that sounds horrible, because they were dee-lishus!!1!) although the blue cheese dressing that comes with the wings and fries was a far cry from the cheese that The Buffalo is serving up.

For dessert, we looked no further than the deep fried Oreo’s (served with vanilla ice cream) that CHUCK had on the specials board. There were five of us and five Oreo’s so we all shared just one portion and had one each. If you’re thinking that these badboys must have been unbearably sweet (like I initially thought they would be) then you’d be completely wrong. I practically grimaced whilst taking my first bite, expecting to be kicked in the face by a big sugary boot but it never came. It wasn’t anything special however, and I doubt I’d ever have another one but still, it was not as bad as I thought it would be.

All things considered, CHUCK have some of the most amazing wings that money can buy. Are they better than wings at The Orange Buffalo? No… but they are certainly on par. Now I just have to sit and pray that CHUCK open up a branch a little closer to East London.

What does one expect out of an American diner? Fried stuff with cheese no doubt. Have a look at the pictures and notice the waist-threatening tasteful burgers and more. The buffalo sauce is their primary indulgence to crave for. Order their chicken wings with buffalo sauce. It will make you forget about the main course.

But once the burgers and fries came in, I forgot how stuffed I was. Dove in and conquered the serving. This place presents a hip cool young and friendly atmosphere thanks to the lovely chatty waitresses. A must visit.

Went on the opening night, understandably abit chaotic but the food was worth the wait. Slightly over priced, but still really tasty! Would definitely return when they are fully up and running.

I absolutely love this place. I just have to go back again and again. Situated perfectly for access via your own vehicle or public transportation. The staff are always nice, friendly and efficient. If you like your Burgers then this is certainly the best place to eat one! The variety of burgers are for everyone even vegetarians. Also offer other main dishes that are delicious too. Drinks range is large, but the cocktails are just absolutely amazing. I'm a big lover of Milkshake and they top it off with my favourite Rum. Certainly a establishment will continually receive my business. Highly recommended

My friends & I visited a long overdue authentic Mexican restaurant in this part of London. We were not disappointed as food, drinks & service was excellent. Special thanks to Sonia & Sigi whose service was exemplary. Recommend that you book as the restaurant was full to its "rafters". Hopefully restaurant will keep up to the excellent standards months down the road.

Good burgers and popular milkshakes. I always go for the delicious vegan burger, even though I am not vegan. They are generous with extra toppings request. Good selection of sauces and dips on the table. The casual setting has a fun vibe and the music playlist is peppy. Good service. Will go back again.

Nice vibe. Don’t need to book unless it’s a group booking so that helps when you have kids. They have a nice kids menu. It’s changed over the years to give it more a “fast food” vibe than a sit down meal. Nice choice of cocktails - food is good.

Went on opening night and yes major waiting problems but hopefully that has now improved. Not a cheap night. Cocktails very expensive and small £9.00. Nice decor and very attentive staff.

Love a good CHUCK! Their Buffalo wings are the ones to go for - however, I have realised they are not as good as they used to be. Nevertheless, great atmosphere, staff are very friendly, love the warm welcome we get when we walk in. Highly Recommended please to go in Hatch End.

Friendly staff and delicious food (the piggy burger is my go-to choice). They're very welcoming with small children/babies as well (note: we've only been during the day, not in the evening). Be warned, the milkshakes are massive! :)

You can't go wrong with the great burgers (had the californian + pineapple) shakes & fries they offer though the latter were quite salty this time around. The staff are always helpful and friendly too. A cut above the many 'gourmet burger' places that are around now.
