Have generally done a good job with refurbishing the restaurant from the old and dated Harrow Tandoori. Food was good and tasty. Stand outs were the chilly paneer and mogo starters. The Chutney bombs were highly recommended but to be honest a bit of a let down. The first batch were soaked in oil and still cold in the middle, to their credit the staff did send out a replacement straight away which were cooked properly, but still soaked in oil. Don't bother with these in my opinion even though they are a "specialty". The panner and mogo we had were fine in terms of portion size vs price but the Bhindi (Okra) is WAY over priced. They are not even whole, or even quarters, just a hand full of shredded ones. The Chutney bombs are over priced for what they are too. The owner said the portion started at 2 pieces and now its 4. That makes it over £3 per bomb with a portion of 2. Overall a nice place, I would re visit as the food was good overall. we spend £70 for 4 of us including 2 mocktails and 2 beers. (don't bother with the cocktails or cocktails, its just not that kind of place) Free poppadoms and chutneys is a great touch and go down well with an ice cold pint. A lot of places would happily charge for these.
