We were a bit concerned after entering the premises, but that's the case with most fisheries isn't it? When we finished our meal, there were no concerns or confusion hahahah, food was delicious and if we could stay for longer in Hastings we'd definitely eat there again.
Great fish and chips cafe, always busy, you have to wait to be seated as it's really popular as its lovely food and great prices too.
They also have a take away section as well.
We had jumbo sausage and chips. You get a really large portion of chips.
Didn't take long to come.
Prices are very reasonable for a seaside town, definitely the cheapest along the sea front.
Staff were lovely and friendly and helpful.
Nicely situated right on the corner of George Street and just opposite the beach.

A proper seaside fish n chips. Food great with service to match. Was there yesterday with my granddaughter. A very family friendly place to eat. This is going to be our new regular on our future day trips to Hastings
Me and my partner had lunch there and the food was absolutely perfect, the portion size was perfect, chips cooked to perfection, cod was tasty and cooked to perfection, the batter was crispy and not caked in oil, and the curry sauce has to be the best sauce I’ve ever tasted. My partner had fish cakes and again, they were cooked beautifully. Service was brilliant and friendly and as of 11/04/23 it is cash only. Every time me and my partner have been to Hastings, we’ve always had lunch here and it’s always been great. Best fish and chips in Hastings.
Been going here for donkeys years in my summer holidays. This is such a nice, calm and delicious place to eat. A proper and true old style gem of Hastings. A gem of a bi-gone era
Service was excellent, even though we popped in on a cold sleety Weds afternoon, prices very reasonable. The chicken nuggets were amazing, with a thin but crisp coating. Very generous portions of curry sauce and beans. Thank you :)
Good take away pie & fish.
This is the second time we've eaten here. Both times the restaurant has been clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food is tasty and reasonably priced.
By the far the best chip shop in HASTINGS Chips were amazing really busy as may day but quality was amazing and the great service was outstanding. Want decent fish and chips this is the place to come and cheap to boot
