One of my favourite places to DJ, drink, dance and have a good time. Great pub, great staff and really improving under Chris's management. My first port of call every visit to Hastings.
Great venue, friendly staff, nice selection of beer and a happy crowd enjoying excellent live music!
Nice courtyard on a warm day. We were on bikes so they could be seen. Water for dogs.
Lovely light lunch.
Old fashioned pub interior. Highly recommend.
The BEST Sunday roast in Hastings, without a doubt. Beautiful pub garden for when it is fine. Everyone so friendly and food is incredible.
Always welcomed and they do the greatest pizza. Lovely properly cooked bases no soggy bottoms.
Amazing freshly made food. Great service. Intimate setting. Pleasure to have spotted The Royal Standard on our travels through Hastings.
We lived in Hastings a few years ago and this was our favourite pub. Visited again recently and it is still great. Lovely atmosphere the manager is welcoming and with a great sense of humour. A couple of record decks playing vinyl LPs plus live bands, wood fired pizza oven and a great garden. Heaven!

The Royal Standard is a traditional public house owned by Shepherd Neame, England's oldest brewery, and located on the Hastings seafront. It offers a decent selection of hand-pumped ales along with the usual range of lagers & all things alcoholic. It oozes a comfy atmosphere inside, like a good community pub usually does. Had a couple of beers there during my day trip to Hastings & Rye, and the beers were fresh and crisp. Staff were very friendly and down-to-earth indeed. Solid pub grub is also available, and there's a pleasant outside seating area, too. Recommended.
Lovely pub with cute little beer garden, good music, friendly staff and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend 😊👍🏽
We went on a Friday afternoon, after school, sat in the back garden, had a couple of beers, pizza and chips, my kids loves it and food was amazing.
Nice atmosphere, good beer. Didn't try the food but looked good.
Went on a Saturday afternoon with 15 fellow members of the cycling club and enjoyed a delicious pizza (thanks, Lydia) , pint of Guinness and warm, friendly atmosphere. Good music playing in the background, real log fire.
Really relaxing, enjoyable pub to which I shall return!
