San Marcos

Our first visit to San Marcos in Hastings, Michigan, in September 2023, was a pleasant experience. We decided to enjoy the outdoor seating, which was quite enjoyable. The service was good, and the staff were friendly. We started with the chips and salsa, which were delicious. However, the queso was a bit runny, though it had a nice taste. The chorizo street tacos were the highlight of our meal, with a great blend of flavors, cilantro, and salsa. The corn tortillas were well-made. My wife ordered the beef tacos and was satisfied with her choice. The beverages, including ice-cold beer and large margaritas, were refreshing. While our overall experience was positive, the queso consistency could be improved. We will be returning in the future.

Best Mexican restaurant in the area by far! They have an amazing menu with crazy good food and it's actually affordable. My husband and I can go there and eat for under 30$ if he has beer we get out of there for 40 or 50 including tip. Not to mention the staff is wonderful and the manager who runs it is the nicest guy ever. He takes care of his customers and they could be charging alot more for the quality of their food and service but they don't. I will forever support san Marcos and recommend them to any who likes Mexican. Even if you don't like Mexican try this place, it changed my mind!

We go here every few weeks, sometimes more, it's one of our most favorite restaurants. I had the fish tacos Mexican style, minus cilantro, not the fried one but the grilled, they are fantastic, my husband had the Mexican sausage tacos....can't remember the name starts with a "c".... anyway he loved them, we always order queso dip for our chips too. Highly recommend this restaurant!!
