Fancy some chips at Herne Bay?! These are pretty impressive. Served very hot, great texture and not oily at all. This place is highly recommended! Well priced and extremely generous portions.

Came here on the day after the kings coronation after a let down at Rochester castle. The weather was beautiful and a day by the sea is what we all needed. We had spent the afternoon on the beach, pier and in the arcades, on the way back to the car the kids were moaning they were hungry.
We see this place that had an outside seating area, much like what you'd find in another country... The food on other peoples plates looked very apertising and fresh.
We decided we would see if they had any tables, luckily they had 2 tables to accommodate the 12 of use. The food was ordered and came out fresh and hot. Ample amounts of food, nice beer.
The waiters were polite and helpful. The prices were reasonable and the setting is as the name, Sunset fish bar, we watched the sunset 😁.

In the past, we've had some overdone chips and rather dull fish here but today the cod and chips was excellent. We were served by Angel, who lived up to her name and was lovely and very helpful. We took the food to the beach to eat it as that's much cheaper than sitting at their tables. The fish was fresh, well cooked with a crisp, tasty batter. The chips were good and the curry sauce is great.
The view is priceless.

Absolutely fantastic meal. The fish is amazing, perfectly cooked with a nice crispy batter. The chips are spot on, classic chippy chips. The salad had a wonderfully zesty dressing, the curry sauce was tasty plus very good portion sizes. We sat outside on a lovely sunny day and the service was great. Very friendly staff. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good quality meal in Herne Bay.

Busy place, so we thought it must be good. Amazing halloumi wrap... which came with chopped salad, lightly spiced, and chips. Haddock was large and tasty....onion rings perfect. Great service from the young man with the beard. I would definitely recommend....portion sizes are large so go easy on the side orders

We visited Sunset Fish Bar yesterday on a day out to Herne Bay. Our usual trick in to get a couple of pints of Efes and two bags of chips to enjoy on the beach and yesterday was no exception. The staff are always friendly and polite and the chips are cooked fresh and taste delicious. Well worth a visit if you're down that way.

Pleasant location right next to the beach, comfortable chairs and spacious tables. Attentive, good service.
Food was average , warm diet coke and no ice, undercooked chips and over battered food. Reasonable value for money at about £10 per head for one course and a soft drink.
Hard to recommend except that they did cook me a fillet of cod without the batter.
