Charred Bar & Grill

With wife and friends on holiday.Found this wee(small) restaurant ,when walking around Hexam. Staff were welcoming and the service we got from our waiter was top notch. Good choice of food on menu,we were all happy with the choices that we had made. Mine's was the Reef and Beef Burger(pieces of lobster on top of the beef).😊

I’ve been there with my partner on a weekend trip from London. We ordered the seafood mixed grill and we loved it; every single item in it was delicious. However, the best thing ever was a starter: lobster croquettes. This dish had great balance of flavours and its taste was amazing. The restaurant is also super nice, we both loved the overall atmosphere.

We were at this amazing restaurant yesterday lunch time. We were in Hexham for our Son’s football match. We decided to go somewhere lovely for an amazing Sunday lunch with our friends and out son’s friends: we wanted to make a day out of it. I researched where the best places were in Hexham for a Sunday lunch: The Charred Steak & Lobster - Bar & Grill was mentioned in so much that I was reading. So we booked and it and it lived up to its reputation and much more. The Sunday lunches were absolutely delicious, all the adults were blown away by our lunches. The older boys had a Steak and Burgers: they were absolutely delicious too. The staff were so lovely, welcoming and the establishment is beautifully decorated and it’s such a beautiful restaurant. This is a little hidden gem and I recommend it 100%. We’ll definitely be coming again. 12/10 for the beautiful food, amazing service and hygiene. Thank you for making our day yesterday ❤️

I was up in Northumberland visiting some friends for a few days and they live near Hexham, so they booked Charred for Sunday lunch and it wasn't to disappoint! One of us had the burger and me and another friend had the Sunday roast platter! The value for money was outstanding! Huge Yorkshire puddings, three massive slices of beef, 3 of pork and half a roast chicken...plus all the trimmings as you can see from the picture I uploaded! I was stuffed by the end! Sunday roast in Hexham? Then give this place a go! :D

Disappointed in ourselves for not finding Charred sooner... Went today for Sunday dinner - one of, if not the best we've had - in quality, freshness and portion size. Inside the place is done out so well, absolute hidden gem. Service was excellent and welcoming, and a bit of craic from the owner which is always welcome! 100% going back soon to sample more on the huge menu.
