I have just visited the tearoom and even though i knew i was late in the day they served me like the first. The lemon cake i had was moist and fresh while the latte i had was equally superb. If this is the standard of service at the end of the day it just shows the customer comes first.

Really liked this tea room. Lunch was delicious, good selection, afternoon tea to order, more seating around the back. A hidden gem off the Main Street via the courtyard. Will visit again :)

Visited today with my daughter for afternoon tea. Can't fault the service,food or surroundings. Even gluten free was a good as non gluten free. China cups and saucers and a "proper" teapot made the experience feel very special too. First visit but definitely not the last.

Went in for cake and a drink with my daughter, mentioned it was her birthday and they put a candle in her cake and sang happy birthday to her. Was so very nice of them and very thoughtful. Will definitely return.

Absolutely fantastic! First time here and would definitely go again. I booked a birthday afternoon tea and couldn't fault it one bit. Lovely little tearoom. Staff greeted us at the door and were super friendly (very attentive the whole time) sat us down at a table they had decorated for us free of charge. Food was all home made and so tasty, sadly we couldn't finish it all but was offered a take out box to put the rest into which was fab!

My husband ordered takeaway afternoon tea for my birthday. The food was absolutely delicious (I'm a fussy eater) and my plate was empty in no time. I would recommend Buttercream Tearoom to anyone. 5 stars for us.

Visited today for a light lunch with Debs. I had the Gammon, Egg and Chips, which was lovely. Debs had a pot of tea, a bowl of chips, and then finished with a gorgeous scone.
I also had a vanilla milkshake which was unreal, tasted so good! The ladies serving were lovely too.
All in all as with my previousd visits, everything was great. Thouraghly recommended.

Perfect location for our Afternoon Tea for a family get together combined with a mini hen do, fab selection on the traditional and savoury teas. Plus, the gluten-free option was yummy too. Adding prosecco was a fantastic addition to make the afternoon more special. Highly recommended for lovely staff and awesome food, thank you Sally.

Brought my mum here for afternoon tea. The food was delicious. Portions were perfect almost to much we had to take some home. The hostesses were warm and friendly. Pricing was less by considerable sum compared to other places so that was a very pleasant surprise. They do all their baking on premises so all the cakes are fresh and yummy. It’s tucked away on a side street so just entering the establishment feels quaint and perfectly British. It’s a little slice of heaven.
