The food was great. Normally I have no problems with takeaways from here but I had friends round so I ordered for 6 people and waited the 40 minutes as requested, went to pick it up and they hadn't done it so I had to wait another 40 minutes for it to be cooked. They did keep apologising and gave me a bottle of wine for the inconvenience.
Went here with my brother to eat before a few drinks elsewhere. One of the nicest madras I have ever had, friendly and welcoming service and servers prompt with everything. Went down a treat, especially with a couple of Cobra beers! Thank you.
Took my deaf old aunt Mildred out for a slap-up bit of nosebag for her 90th birthday.
"Where we goin'?" Mildred said.
"I told you, Auntie," I said, "we're having a meal in the Shuhag."
"Shoe bag? I don't need new shoes."
"Shuhag, Auntie."
"Eh?"
"Shuhag..."
"Doodads?"
"SHUHAG!"
There was an extended pause before she replied.
"Eh?" she said.
Anyway, once we were seated I asked Auntie Mildred what she would like to eat.
"I forgot me glasses," she said, "I can't read the menu. Just gimme a spaghetti bolognaise."
"It's an Indian restaurant, Auntie."
"Eh?"
"INDIAN!"
"No, I was born in Ireland."
Had a lovely takeaway, had a bit of a wait but it was a Saturday night
Incredibly good value for money, one of the best Indian restaurants in Essex!
They are very generous when it comes to portions, and taste is fantastic 😋 try the tikka naan if you haven't already!
It is cash only, so keep that in mind when ordering a delivery. The delivery drivers are all really nice too!
Excellent food and service. The chicken tikka madras was very tasty and well spiced.
Just had another wonderful meal (takeaway this time but last time we ate in). Very flavorful Rogan Josh which is hard to get right. Naans are always delish! Very lucky to live so close to this restaurant!
Lovely welcome and food very tasty and plentiful. Only down side is that it closes at 10pm every night!
Since moving into the area this has become our favourite place to eat, the food and service is amazing!
