One of our most favourite bars! The beer here is fantastic.. such a huge range and very fairly priced. They serve sharing boards and other types of nibbles that are delicious. The place is quirky and immaculately clean. Our favourite in Holmfirth!

We stopped in here today during a family visit to Holmfirth.
My wife & I enjoy craft beer and upon seeing this establishment we thought we would give it a go.
Amazing atmosphere, great beer and a nice chilled vibe which reminded me of trendy inner city cafes in larger cities.
The staff were extremely friendly and were nice enough to provide extra bread for my children when we ordered a sharing platter (which was excellent and really good value for money).
I highly recommend this place and we will be back.

Been meaning to try this place for so long after driving past on the way to Manchester. Finally went and was very happy. Great service, great beer and an all-round lovely place to be.

We been here a few times now and it's always great. We pop in when going to gigs next door, to get some great good and even better beer!
The food boards they do are absolutely ace and make a change from the usual stuff. It's local produce too, which is great. Dog and kid friendly, what's not to like!
As for the beer, well you can't go wrong with Magic Rock. The have a great selection on and are more than happy to advise and dish out samples based on your likes and dislikes.
When we were in last, the staff were absolutely great, even recommending places to eat in the evening and how and where to get the best taxi's later on. Not being from Holmfirth, this kind of customer service and advice makes all the difference and sets them apart from the majority of bars and tap rooms.
Can't wait to get back there and maybe they will have the amazing Psychokinesis on tap next time.

Great range of beers, from sour ales to chocolatey stouts. My OH and I popped in on a rainy day for a quick drink at the start of a holiday pub crawl...we ended up staying the whole afternoon here! The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere very relaxed and welcoming.

Lovely place to spend a Saturday lunchtime. Not too busy but not empty, lots of beer to choose from too. Food was great, we got two sharing platters for £13 each. Amazing value here, you definitely get more than you pay for.

Lovely set up, friendly and helpful staff, quick table service. Plenty of spacing. Free WiFi. Good quality beer at reasonable prices. Soft drinks available and reasonable too. Sell merchandise and glass wear, and cans for takeout. I'd prefer some more cask available if possible and perhaps some guest beers, but it's a most visit for beer fans in Holmfirth. Worth noting it's a cashless venue, which suits me fine personally.
