The service is good, the atmosphere is great and food is lovely. I recommend the sharing board: great cheese, nice cured meats/smoked fish and great homemade scotch eggs with soft and tender yolks. There was a small selection of well-kept cask ales but very nice and the food is great. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Last minute decision to visit The Hogget for dinner after recently moving to the area. Glad we got there early as most tables already reserved & it quickly filled up! Once we’d ordered & received our food in a timely manner, we found out why it’s so popular. Incredibly polite & accommodating staff and the food was delicious. A small menu but with their motto of ‘simple food done well’ this stands!

I have been to The Hogget 3-4 times, always on Fridays for a team lunch. Being a working lunch, the swift service by The Hogget crew goes on the top of my list of plus points for this cozy place just about a hops distance from the workplace. The ambiance is great with nicely spaced out indoor seating as well as outdoor seating for the sunny days. Fairly wide spread of menu options, along with a few Veggie options of which i have tried all and can confidently recommend to the Vegetarians. All my colleagues were also well pleased with their food, the steak burger seems to be an all time favourite.
Stopped here for lunch one Saturday lunchtime. The food was good and the service was quite fast. We sat outside on the terrace and there were plenty of free tables. There is a car park here.
Stopped for a family lunch on our way to Millers Ark Farm. We got a very warm welcome. Kids and adults all had burgers which were really tasty and cooked to perfection.. Also the halloumi soldiers were delicious. Lovely staff friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault it - only wish we lived nearer and could go more often. Thanks for your lovely service
Madeline and Alice were on shift when I came in stinking of hunger and tiredness. Made suggestions from the menu and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Great friendly atmosphere to wind down after a long day!
Didn't eat but stopped for a drink, really nice and friendly atmosphere and the food did look good.
This is a super pub. The staff are attentive and warm. The food was served promptly, and the atmosphere was great. There's a huge car park and the toilets are very clean.

Just dropped in for couple pints of 49er...... great Ringwood pint with great table service.
Booked a table for dinner this evening....another of my favourite chicken burgers and pint of fantastic Ringwood 49er.
Top marks again to both kitchen and front of house.

My wife and I returned to eat last Tuesday (cheap ale night).
We both chose Dirty Chicken Burgers which proved possibly the best burgers we've had!
So, great food, great service and again, a couple of perfect pints of Ringwood 49er!

this is a lovely quaint pub, well located, with a charming and relaxing atmosphere. fairly reasonably priced for the area, I would recommend the pork scratchings, and the burgers are excellent
If you ever go near the Hogget you've got to pull in !!! It's was out first visit today and wow !!! Absolutely blown away from the greeting to the service to the meal !!! Absolutely amazing!! And also dog friendly and very very clean everywhere!! We certainly enjoyed our visit.
Great venue by the river. The food was excellent but could only be ordered at the bar when you sat outside. The was very understaffed and hence always involved a 10 minute wait, which was very good for a business lunch meeting.
