We almost dismissed this gem of a place after looking from the outside and it looking a little weathered. But it is right next to the see and keeping a building like this pristine must be pretty tough! Never judge a book by its cover! As soon as we went in we were welcomed with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and a great little side room where pets were welcome 🐾 The menu was really great. We had a mix of starters and a couple of mains and with the offers it was around £30. The food was tasty and well presented. We really enjoyed the whole experience. And Milo (the dog 🐶) was fed fresh beef chunks by a lovely lady. So he was a happy Pooch! ☺️ We loved it so much we made the trip back from Withernsea the next day to do it all over again and again we were not disappointment. Different staff, just as friendly. Food was just as tasty. And I was entertained by a solo rendition from the kitchen of Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas by a very happy sounding chef!! 👨‍🍳 We went for a little walk after our mains and then popped back in for some pudding and a coffee. It was so relaxing just sitting and watching the sea and being in somewhere so pleasant. Well done guys 👏🏼 You have a great place and a great team. Thank you ☺️ If we have time we may be back again today before heading home! 😝

Had a lovely meal yesterday here. Reasonable prices got seated quickly. Inside was clean and spacious with multiple seating options in different areas of the pub. Nice outdoor area with Seaview too. Food was served quickly piping hot and was cooked as per requested regarding the mixed grill option. I had the golden award winning steak pie which was rich in flavour and well worth the review, only down side was the mash. Real mash will always be a better option. Plenty of drinks options too would definitely return when back over to the area.

Nice staff thou, you can be waiting in queue for awhile. Same line for food orders and drink orders. Great views of sea and beach. Plenty of room seating inside and outside. Front and back gardens seating areas. Good ale and delicious food. I hope to return again soon

lovely pub we had a drink there in the afternoon, beautiful view watching the sea so we booked a table for an evening meal with our family. the food was lovely, very friendly staff we requested a table in the conservatory when we booked because its all trimmed up for Halloween, our grandchildren love Halloween and we're thrilled when we sat in there

Just had the most amazing Sunday roast from here! The best we’ve had from a Greene king pub. The service was amazing, went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Will 100% be returning!

Just simply put, absolutely spot on.. Some could argue high prices but the cook on the food and presentation along with the flavours coupled with the views and you soon start thinking it could cost a lot more.. The cafe prefers cash but can accommodate card payments via the boat house.. Two families ate and every plate was clean including two fussy infants.. Definitely will be returning at the first opportunity again

Very popular place, especially as we visited on the hottest day of the year… in September. Been here several times over the years & always been a decent place. Food is very good as are the beers. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Fantastic food, very large portions - perfect if you're really hungry! Quite quit on a Tuesday evening. Live folk band playing, but still had background music on in the bar - not very relaxing with different music in each ear! Lovely evening though, staff v friendly and helpful.
